Overview
Students will read and describe characters though specific details in Percy Jackson and 
the Lightning Thief.

Objectives: Students will describe the characters using details from the 
text.

character's thoughts, words, or actions).

Two: Students write responses to at least two other students 
either suggestions or comments regarding their posts. (10 
minutes) 
You: Read chapters 18, 19 and fill out character map while 
reading (45 minutes)  
You: Answer questions on Google classroom discussions. (10 
minutes) 
Two: Respond to each other (5 minutes) 
 
Period two: (1hr 30 mins) 
I: Review prior discussion questions (5 minutes) 
We: Discuss as a class which answers were appropriate (10 
minutes) 
We: (progress monitoring) 
Discuss as a class what responses were appropriate and how 
we can change our responses to benefit each other. (15 
minutes) 
You: Read chapters 20, 21, 22 and fill out character map while 
reading (55 minutes)
