What are cigarettes?

Cigarettes are a thin cylinder of finely cut tobacco containing narcotics,


herbs or a medicated substance rolled in paper for smoking.

Why it’s harmful?

There are about 600 ingredients. When burned, they created more than
7,000 chemicals. About 69 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer.

What are e-cigarettes?

E-cigarettes are devices that allow users to inhale an aerosol containing


nicotine or other substances

Why it’s harmful?

From the cool designs to different flavors, e-cigarettes are more common in
young users. Youth or young adults that use e-cigarettes are at increased risk of
using traditional cigarettes.
Hookah
What is hookah?

Hookah is a water pipe used to pass charcoal heated air through a tobacco
mixture and ultimately through a water-filled chamber.

Why it’s harmful?

The about of smoke inhaled during a typical hookah session is about 90,000
ml, compared with 500-600 ml inhaled when smoking a cigarette. Hookah
smoking appears to be associated with lung cancer, respiratory diseases and low
birth weight in babies.
