Nelson Mandela was elected as the first black President of his country,
South Africa. Through his kindness and forgiveness, Mandela helped unite
South Africa as it dismantled apartheid. He gave people hope where they
thought all hope was lost, inspired others to join his fight, and led the South
African citizens to a new world order. Nelson Mandela left an ever-lasting
impression on the people of South Africa and inspired change.

Mohandas Gandhi led the Indian Civil Rights movement that freed India
from the British Rule. He led by example with his persistent attitude. He
showed his many skills by the way he held himself together, the clothes he
wore, and his determination. Because of Gandhi, many others were inspired
to stand up for their country and fight for their right to be treated properly.

Martin Luther King Jr. was an activist that led the African-American Civil
Rights movement. He inspired a lot of people to fight for their freedom
against their suppressors. He inspired people from all across the world to
stand up for what they believed in and help make a change in their state. He
is now recognized as one of the most influential people in the history of the
United States of America.

It only takes one person to lead by example and inspire people. People tend
to look up to leaders as they tend to inspire others. If you take a look around
you, you will always see a leader, from a professor to your parents. Some
leaders are born, and some leaders are made as they journey through life.
