Magazine Cover Page Design Outline

The cover page is the essential core of a magazine because it is the first piece an individual will
see and first impressions are important. The design I came up with involves a political,
modernized theme that utilizes the organizations colors. It involves two banners; one on the
bottom and the other on top. In the banner at the bottom the OSGA logo will be placed. On the
left corner will be a vector image of the Oklahoma State Capitol emerging from the side. On the
right, the OSGA title is provided as well as a quote to summarize the mission and purpose of the
organization.

For the continuing pages throughout the magazine, I will be continuing the blue border at the top
and bottom. On these two pages for the officer spotlight, there will be four on the first page and
three on the second page. There will be a picture of the officer with a short, 70-75 word
biography of the officer.

Magazine Cover Page

I am to create a magazine cover page of modern design that encompasses the essential
components of OSGA in some fashion: Logo, state capitol, legislation, fun and community. This
cover is considered version one and version two will be completed at a later date. The board of
directors view this graphic fitting for an advertisement piece but it lacks the vision intended for a
magazine cover.

Magazine Officer Spotlight Page One & Two Creation

The purpose of this page is to shine a spotlight on the elected officers of the Oklahoma Student
Government Association. These representatives carry the pride of their schools and their
accomplishments as a student leader. Recognition is also important so that various student
government can become introduced to their state elected leaders for future possible assistance.

Right now, this is just a shell of the completed officer highlights page. I am needing to import the
officers biographies and take photo headshots of each board member. These will be installed at a
later time.
