and also where I want to be further down the line. I currently have my introduction to the
research paper and have a solid first body paragraph that is about the information that I gathered
from The Early Admissions Game , but I want to type keep typing maybe one or two more
paragraphs on the same book because of its rich information that can help my research. I want to
have one paragraph for each one of the sources by the end and hopefully have a good argument
with supportive information from the sources to back it up. A question that I have is whether I
should tie in an opposing argument that argues in favor of standardized testing with an argument
against it. Also, do you think I am beginning to build an argument against standardized testing
without sounding biased and instead building it solely on facts from my sources?Thank

Standardized testing is well known in the United States by its citizens and is crucial to the
future of many of the students who take the test in any of the forms in which it is presented. The
results of these standardized tests determine entire futures every year. Many students are being
ignored because of their “low” scores which the institutions categorize because they have made
the admissions process a very difficult procedure by setting standards with high test score
requirements. This research project will investigate whether standardized test in America like
the SAT and ACT are effective in representing a high school junior or senior.
The Early Admissions Game has compared the admissions process to a competition that
students all around the country compete in. However, there are flaws in the admissions system
that the book wants to tackle like disadvantages between students who apply early and students
who apply for regular decision. In the first chapter , “The History of Early Admissions,” the
admissions policy was explained to be just a process for high school seniors to have a guaranteed
spot in the college. However, it then explains that no one anticipated the admission programs to
grow so rapidly that it would sooner than later be a competition for the school to lure in the best
of the best from around the country, making this process now one of the most stressful moments
for a high school senior rather than a less stressful option for applicants as it was initially
intended to be.
