MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

This AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between:

The BARROC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL , with office address at La Paz, Iloilo City. Herein
represented by MRS. AGNES T. TANTIADO hereinafter referred to as B. E. S.;
And

The LOVE OUR OWN BRETHREN INC.ORPORATED (LOOB Inc..) with office at Lot 19, Block
14, NHA II, Mandurriao Iloilo City. Duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Represented by its Program Director JOHN HORATIUS G. LOOT hereinafter referred to as LOOB
Inc..

WITNESSETH

Whereas, LOOB Inc. conducts regular programs and activities with several student organizations from
Japan and desires to provide the opportunity for intercultural cooperation and interaction between
Japanese students and ISATU students.

Realizing that the present education policy would greatly benefit from more global concepts through
international cooperation and that B. E. S. Are implementers for such programs for the school.

Being aware of the specific need to reduce the incidence if not eliminate language and cultural barriers
between different nationalities.

Recognizing that effective coordination on the nature and concept of cooperation would contribute
significantly to mutual understanding and the development of education and personal growth.

Therefore, this memorandum seeks to establish a co-operative relationship between the B. E. S. and
LOOB Inc. to coordinate, plan and implement intercultural and educational activities beneficial and for
the advantage of students of Japan (student organizations from Japan) and the Philippines (Barroc
Elementary School students).
o 4 Japanese nationals in the designated venue to avoid the occurrence of delays and conflicts on
the schedule;
o Presenting and implementing the details of each activity in complete coordination and the full
consent of B. E. S.;
o Adhering to and following all the rules and regulations of the university.

And

That B. E. S. will be responsible for:

o Providing a venue for the activity
o Providing logistic presentation before or during the lecture/discussion
o Campaign the number of students who would join the activity.
o Be provided with a campus tour for the Japanese counter parts
o Providing a discussion forum so that the participants will be able to interact and communicate
with the students
o Do other programs or tie-ups.
GUIDING CLAUSES

In accordance with the spirit and responsibilities mutually agreed upon, the following shall serve as
operational guidelines to the agreed partnership.

Clause: 1. All requests for proposed activities to B. E. S. shall be submitted through

the Center for International Affairs for acknowledgment of receipt.

Clause : 2. LOOB Inc. activities shall be managed by the LOOB Inc. staff with
assistance from teachers / faculty / student previously designated by B.E. S.

Clause: 3. Joint reviews / evaluation meetings of the activities whenever deemed

necessary and requested by either party shall be held in a designated place and
time as agreed by both parties.

Clause: 4. This Agreement shall be in force for a period of years and is subject
to review and renewal.

Clause: 5. Either party may terminate this Agreement upon giving at least ____ days
notice in writing to the other party.

Clause: 6. Effective Date of Operation:

This agreement shall be effective after having been duly signed by representatives
of both parties.
