Basic Idea
Learning media is a tool for learning and teaching. Everything that can be used to
stimulate feelings, thoughts, abilities or student skills and attention so that it can encourage
the learning process. This is in accordance with the conclusions (Silva et al 2009: 201-212)
that in education once upon a time using technology to develop and share subject matter. In
accordance with the development of the age of learning media also experienced
improvements both those using technology and technical uses, so that teachers are required to
choose professionals, and technically use them. The choice of media from a teacher must be
more selective in using learning media, and in accordance with conditions and situations.
The era of globalization is currently a paradigm shift in the world of education. The
ongoing education faces two challenges. The first challenge comes from a change in view of
learning itself. The second challenge faced by the world of education today is the rapid
advancement of communication and information technology, which offers various facilities
in learning. There is a shift in learning orientation due to advances in technology that were
previously outside-guided into self-guided learning. In accordance with Silva's conclusions
(F.B. Bruno, 2009: 201-212) the development of technology and communication enables easy
access to products and services related to computer communication, application and
telecommunications equipment.
Idea Development
Through the education function, (Soekartawi, 2005: 19), blogs can of course be used
to support the learning process. According to Bruner (as quoted by Darsono) there are 3
levels of learning mode, namely: abstract experience (symbolic), pictorial experience
(iconic), and direct experience (enactive). Direct experience (enactive) is working, for
example the meaning of the word "circle" is understood directly by drawing or making a
circle. At level two or iconic (image / image), the word circle is understood by looking at
photos, paintings, pictures or films.
This is according to Husnati's statement, Fatimah and Ramlah (2009: 4-19)
online display in the form of e-mail, blogs (electronic bulletins) are presented by educators to
inform students and for students to communicate with each other and all work together
online. The benefits of blogs for teachers include proof of portfolio related to their

professionalism, the development of varied learning processes, as teaching media and
learning, a place for discussion, information sharing and communication (Muhammad Adri,
2008: 12). Relatively inexpensive and able to penetrate space and develop a wider network of
teachers is an advantage of blogs. Teachers through blogs can express their ideas or ideas,
display lesson material that can be downloaded by students, link links as references, provide
assignments and evaluate learning. Blogs provide application comments that make it easy to
interact between students and teachers. The teacher can "transmit" blogging to students as an
activity.
Cover
Blog is one of multimedia-based learning media that is supported by several features
and several programs in it. Thus it is expected that various groups involved in the preparation
of multimedia-based learning programs are sufficient to maintain the high shift in the value of
education that has existed so far. What is clear is the presence of multimedia facilities,
especially blogs, enough to give color to the process of education in the classroom. Teachers
should view multimedia as a basic means of learning, its existence and presence is still
needed. Students really need teacher direction and guidance. As great as any of the most
sophisticated props, the role of the teacher will always be decisive.
