Course Reflection

This class has been nothing but the best. From all the long essays, to the short blog responses, it

has been quite an experience. When I first arrived at college, I had this expectation that I

would struggle so much do to all the hard work that professors would give me. This class

wasn’t how I thought it would be like. It was such an amazing class and I could say that

this class really did help me out a lot. I enjoyed the times in class where we would watch

videos about a certain topic we were being introduced to, rather than being taught some

sort of lesson. I wasn’t much of a talkative person in the class, but neither were my other

peers. Every step was something new to me. At first I thought this class was going to be a

lot of writing, but turns out it wasn’t as much as I expected.

When we were first introduced to websites, I was so lost. I never knew how to create,

nevertheless even make a page or menu in one. I was confused a lot in the beginning and

it did take up time from me because I never bothered to ask how to do certain things until

I found out myself. It was a ride of confusion and progression in order to get things done.

I would say that the website was the hardest thing I needed to get used to, only because it

was something I’ve never done before. It took a lot of time and patience to getting it

right, but even at certain times it was still a struggle.

Writing essays wasn’t really much of a problem to me. I would say that I could do way better in

my essays if I never procrastinated how I usually would. Procrastinating was a big thing I

had to deal with because I never really took the time to put my efforts into my work. I

usually tend to just get things done last minute which is a really bad habit, but I manage

to get it out the way. The blog responses weren't much of a problem because they didn't

need to be that long of a response. I do think working in groups was also a big thing that

kept my motivation to get things done. It makes people interact and connect in order to

talk and get your part done. Sometimes not every person in a group will do what they are

told, but my group was very well on doing things done right and on time.

I could say that this class really helped me out a lot and gave me the skills I have now that I

never knew I could do before. It was a class of learning and accomplishing skills for a

basic college student. Websites, blog responses, group activities, and essays were all a

challenge I faced but in the end overcame them. I recommend this class for any freshman

who needs to understand the environment in college, so that they understand the material

they need. I hope to have the same inspiration towards other classes as I did for this one.
