Module Reflection
1. Based off the two feedback forms I received, both reviewers mentioned how my expected
length of the video could cause the audience to lose interest, so therefore I should only
state information that matters. I think my video is a reasonable amount of time (a little
under seven minutes), and I stated all the necessary points to make my point across. I
think making the video shorter than what it is now would be merely impossible
considering all the required tasks of the project and stating my philosophy in a non-
rushed way. If the assignment was to simply state my philosophy of education without
considering it from ten years from now or technology’s impact then this feedback would
be possible to execute.
2. If I were to do this project again, I think I would add more footage or pictures as I
described certain parts of my story. For instance, when talking about my elementary and
middle school experience, I would add pictures of me from when I went there or maybe
any videos I could find. While I did do this when talking about the projects over this
semester, I think adding images and videos of me from my past schools would have made
my storytelling video more touching. I would still keep the images and video I have from
my other projects to provide the audience with context, and I would still choose my
3. The technology in my project was using a camera to execute a storytelling video and
editing the footage to add music and transitions. Initially, I had never thought of using
video as a way to tell my story, but when I read that one of the options was to do an audio
storytelling, I realized I could do the same through video. I thought that video would only
be entertaining if it was filmed while the person was out somewhere, but I was able to
realize how a sit-down video can be entertaining with good editing. Currently, video
storytelling is often seen in YouTube videos for only entertainment purposes, but a
storytelling video could be used to be informative and persuasive about a topic the person
is passionate about like education. Video storytelling would also be great in adding to
one’s portfolio because instead of having to read text or see images, someone could get a
