Using QA/QC Inspection Quarter 2 QA/QC Results

Data Analytics for


Trend Analysis
A certain percentage of projects seeking incentives from BGE’s
energy efficiency programs are subject to field inspections for
quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC). Among small
or simple projects, inspections are typically less frequent and Total Pass 63%

chosen at random. Large-scale projects with higher incentives Total Pass


with Correction 24%
and projects facing ongoing issues are inspected at higher rates.
Total Fail 13%
Depending on complexity and incentive amounts involved,
certain projects are selected for pre-inspection, post-inspection Correction/Failure Reasons
or both. The QA/QC data collected by field inspectors is
used to verify energy savings, identify potential problems or
discrepancies, recommend administrative revisions and guide
training opportunities for service providers.

The following charts summarize project pass/fail rates as


determined by analysis of data collected during field inspections.
