PO1. ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering
fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

TARGET ATTAINED - The application of knowledge of


PO1 1.86 2.26 mathematics and basic sciences was up to the target. So the following actions
were taken to achieve this target

Action 1: Special training classes for DPSD are conducted in the evenings.
Action 2: Workshop for Mobile app development
Action 3 : Additional bridge classes are conducted to improve the knowledge in basic subjects of engineering
Action 4: Tutorial hours have been conducted to improve the knowledge in mathematics.
Action 5: Technical quizzes and seminars related to basics of engineering and CSE disciplines have been
conducted.
PO2. PROBLEM ANALYSIS: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex
engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural
sciences, and engineering sciences.

TARGET ATTAINED – The problem solving skills of students are


improved by exposing them to various platform like HackerRank, FCC, Cyber
PO2 1.73 2.13 dojo, Udacity etc. To further impart the analysis skills the following measures
were taken.

Action 1: Seminars related to problem solving and programming languages are conducted.
Action 2: Hands-on training for students in the field of operating systems and computer architecture are required.
Action 3: additional classes for Computer Networks and Networks lab were conducted.
Action 4: Students’ are insisted to participate in coding contest, hackathon and technical events.

PO3. DESIGN /DEVELOPMENT: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system
components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health
and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

TARGET ATTAINED – The idea creation skills of students are


PO3 1.83 2.2 improved by Hackathons. The following steps were taken to enhance the
student’s ability to build solutions to complex problems.
Action 1: Students were encouraged to design the projects regarding some real world problems considering safety,
cultural, social and environmental issues.
Action 2: Workshops and seminars related to environmental issues, social and ethical principles were organized.
Action 3: Project exhibitions in C and Python were conducted for increasing their skills of conceptualizing a
design and implementing the same.
PO4. CONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS OF COMPLEX PROBLEMS: Use research-based knowledge and
research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the
information to provide valid conclusions.

TARGET ATTAINED - Students were able to develop software by


PO4 1.65 2.25 applying design and development principles. Training in new technologies
(RPA, ML, AI) and real time experience is given to enhance their skills further.
So the following steps were taken

Action 1: Students were motivated to do internships and in-plant training programs.


Action 2: Guest lectures and seminars were arranged to gain more knowledge in above mentioned technologies.
Action 3: R&D of KGiSL-GSS integrates with the department have given training for students in technologies
like RPA, ML and AI. So students can easily adhere to industrial expertise.
PO5. MODERN TOOL USAGE: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern
engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an
understanding of the limitations.

PO5 1.92 2.34 TARGET ATTAINED - Students were encouraged to develop


software by using modern tools and techniques.

Action 1: Hands on training sessions were provided to students to practice the usage of modern tools by industry
experts.
Action 2: Special training in microprocessor and microcontroller was given by SMEs
Action 3: Students were motivated to participate in various workshops and seminars conducted in the institution
and other institutions.
Action 4: Guest Lectures and Workshops with hands on sessions related to recent trends like RPA, Big data and
IoT were conducted to improve the technical skills of the students.
PO6. THE ENGINEER AND SOCIETY: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess
societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the
professional engineering practice.

TARGET ATTAINED – The ability to develop software which

software development to our students with following actions.
Action 1: Students were involved in social activities via Clubs like NSS, NCC and RRC.
Action 2:Students were involved to do real time projects considering social health, safety, legal and cultural issues
Action 3: Hackathon on the theme of Smart campus and Smart city were conducted.

PO7. ENVIRONMENT & SUSTAINABILITY: Understand the impact of the professional engineering
solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for
sustainable development.

PO7 1.46 2.05 TARGET ATTAINED – Impact assessment skills , are induced by
conducting various training programs.
Action 1 : Several case studies were discussed during the class sessions to understand the impact of the
engineering on environment
Action 2: Guest lectures and seminars were arranged to enhance their knowledge in the respective fields.
Action 3: Workshops related to environment and how technology impact the societal development was conducted.
Action 4: Impact Assessment practice was given along with Environmental Science Engineering and Chemistry
classes.
PO8. ETHICS: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of
the engineering practice.

TARGET ATTAINED - Students collaborate with many professional


bodies (Mozilla student Circle, Facebook student circle, KGiSL GSS) during
PO8 2.17 2.35 and after the college hours to enhance their skills so that they inculcate the
ethics related to their profession. To improve these qualities, the following
activities have done.

Action 1 : Students were encouraged to join in professional bodies like CSI, ISTE and CSE department
association.
Action 2 : Students were motivated to be ethically practiced and they designed to solve the societal problems.
Action 3: Workshops and Guest lecture related to professional ethics were organized.
PO9. INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM WORK: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader
in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

TARGET ATTAINED - Student were motivated to perform


effectively as an individual and also as a member of a team in order to have a
PO9 2.08 2.34 good career and to participate in societal events. Project Showcase event is
conducted by the department to increase their skills. To improve the skills, the
following activities were planned.
Action 1: Students were motivated to do projects in teams and are asked to showcase them in intra college Project
exhibitions and prizes were given to encourage them.
Action 2 : Students were encouraged to conduct symposiums and other co-curricular and extracurricular
activities in inter and intra college events
Action 3: Group activities were organized to improve the team spirit.
PO10. COMMUNICATION: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the
engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective
reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

TARGET ATTAINED - Documentation is important for any project


PO10 2.18 2.4 development activity. In order to improve the skills of the students, the
following activities are planned.

Action 1: Communication skill development sessions are planned with the help of experts.
Action 2: Group discussions are to be conducted among the students during placement hour.
Action 3: Students should be motivated to utilize the library hour to develop reading skills.
Action 4: Seminar hours should be utilized to improve communication skills.
Action 5: Guest lecture on report writing should be organized.
Action 6: KGiSL SSA – works on improving the soft skills of the students.
PO11. PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the
engineering and management principles and apply these to one‘s own work, as a member and leader in a
team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

TARGET ATTAINED - Students have achieved the engineering and

develop further.
Action 1: Subjects like Principles of management, Total quality management were insisted to study with more
important case studies.
Action 2: Many students teams were formed and asked to carry out group project to enable team work among
Individuals.
PO12. LIFE LONG LEARNING: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in
independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

TARGET ATTAINED - Lifelong learning is a must to sustain in the


PO12 1.71 2.14 field of Computer Science and Engineering. Hence the Students have to
understand the need and achieve the target. To motivate them, following actions
were taken.
Action 1: Students were encouraged to do higher studies and to take up research activities. Awareness programs
related to higher studies in foreign countries were organized.
Action 2: Special classes for EP lab were conducted.
PSO 1: To analyze, design and develop computing solutions by applying foundational concepts of
Computer Science and Engineering.

TARGET ATTAINED - Students need to develop the ability to


understand and analyze real world problems and develop solutions using

appropriate tools and techniques. To enhance their skills, the following activities
were incorporated.

Action 1: Problem based learning style has been adopted.


Action 2: More industrial exposure was given to understand the real world scenario.
Action 3: Students were exposed to workshops, guest lecture on recent trends in the computer science
Action 4: Students were motivated to participate in various competitions conducted by reputed institution and
industries.

PSO 2: To apply software engineering principles and practices for developing quality software for scientific
and business applications.

TARGET ATTAINED - The skills of students to become a successful


engineer by using and creating modern tools are achieved faster with industry

embedded learning method. To accomplish the goal completely, the following
steps were taken.

Action 1: Students were motivated to do mini projects every semester.


Action 2: Workshops on recent topics like Big data, Digital Marketing, mobile application development were
organized.
Action 3: R&D of KGiSL-GSS integrates with the department have given training for students in technologies
like RPA, ML and AI. So students can easily adhere to industrial expertise.
PSO3: To adapt to emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to innovate ideas and
solutions to existing/novel problems.

TARGET ATTAINED - Students have gained skills regarding the


PSO3 1.82 2.25 emerging technologies like ML, RPA, DL, AI

Action 1: Students were motivated to do projects in teams.


Action 2: Students were encouraged to conduct symposiums and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities
in inter college events.
Action 3: Group activities were planned to improve the team spirit.
Action 4: KGiSL SSA – works on improving the soft skills of the students.
