INTRODUCTION
Research Questions (if research questions are not specifically mentioned, what
is the theoretical background or overarching theme):
1. What is the impact of the training process on school administrators’ use of iPads for
administrative tasks and personal organization in their professional duties? 2. What is
the impact of the training process on school administrators’ beliefs regarding how
teachers should use iPads in the classroom? 3. Are there any differences in school
administrators’ survey responses based
METHODOLOGY
What is the methodology for the research or approach used to understand the
issue? Provide information regarding the following:
Data Analysis:
One of the traits of a strong school leader is the ability to be visible and get out of the
office (“Principals Identify Top Ten Leadership Traits,” 2008). School administrators
in this study reported valuing the iPads’ mobility, the touchscreen, and the ability to
use various application features for work related purposes. Thus, iPads as mobile
devices with touchscreens may have the potential to help school administrators become
more visible.
RESULTS
Findings or Results (or main points of the article): Educators are often provided
with technological tools but are given little instruction on how these tools can be used
meaningfully in the classroom. Even though teachers have more resources available to
them than ever before, they still do not receive sufficient training on the effective use
of technology to enhance learning.
DISCUSSIONS
REFLECTIONS
Student’s Reflections (changes to your understanding; implications for your
school/work): I believe that student need to be a part of the class many things can be taught
and can interest the students and technology can be used to interest or involve them
I had an experience while I was an intern last year , I had a student wit Brain injury and
writing was very difficult , a speech to text software really helped him , I used IXL for my
students who are mostly with needs , use of technology helps prepare the student for the
future
Technology helps students to learn at their own pace, hence struggling students can not feel left
out when students are involved in their own learn they are more involved and excited as they
are motivated, students have different ways and level of learning and technology helps the
teacher to address these without embarrassing the students , it has made the teachers life much
easy , student are motivated as they are involved
Technology has been a boon for special needs student who are unable to write or
verbalize
Nowadays tablets and laptops are not as heavy as they used to be , lightweight tablet
and laptop have helped student who are not mobile , From my experience I have seen
students with needs who are not able to communicate leads to frustrations and break
down in the class which apps which help in speak and smart phones too has helped to
deal with this in the calssroom
