Hello Families,

Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Tara Prunty! I will be student teaching in your child’s
class with Ms. Fogarty! I have obtained my Associates Degree in Early Education (P-5) through
Raritan Valley Community College. I am currently continuing my education at Drexel
University to obtain my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education (PK-4). Student
teaching is one of the major final steps in order for me to receive my teaching credentials. I have
always had a passion for working with and teaching children!
As a student teacher, I will spend time observing and participating in the class
management, routines, and lessons. I will work in the classroom every day from September to
the end of March. I will work closely with Ms. Fogarty to co-plan and teach lessons within the
classroom. With the assistance of Ms. Fogarty, I will gradually take on the responsibilities of the
classroom teacher. I am so excited and lucky to be able to get to work with such an awesome
group of children! Prior to student teaching in Ms. Fogarty’s classroom, I have also been
provided many opportunities to work in other various schools, both assisting and teaching
lessons. These unique experiences throughout my educational career have allowed me to extend
my love and appreciation for teaching. Furthermore, these experiences have also ensured that I
had the appropriate and proper dispositions, beliefs, and skills to provide students with equitable
and meaningful learning experiences that reflect their personal development.
I was inspired to become a teacher due to my own personal experience and relationships
with prior teachers. Throughout my own education, I have always been lucky to receive teachers
that were equitable, responsive, and understanding. Through these experiences within high
school and college and my prior teachers' love, support, and encouragement, I was able to
observe and understand the value of becoming a teacher and the beneficial influence teachers
have on a one's academic and social development and growth. Furthermore, I was able to
comprehend the importance of beneficial and respectful relationships between the students and
teachers. My philosophy of Education concentrates on the individual child and their educational
needs. All children have the capability to learn; if they have the appropriate support, resources,
and goals. During my time in your child’s class, I hope to excite, inspire, and broaden your child,
their education, and their creativity.
I would like to thank you for providing me with the opportunity to work with your child.
I am looking forward to meeting you! I am also so thrilled to be able to help all of your children
achieve their full potential! Our days here at school will be filled with many amazing learning
experiences and opportunities to grow and further your child’s skills and abilities. I am looking
forward to an awesome year with you and your child!

Hola familias,

Bienvenido a 3er grado! Mi nombre es Tara Prunty! ¡Seré alumno enseñando en la clase
de su hijo con la Sra. Fogarty! Obtuve mi título de Asociado en Educación Temprana (P-5) a
través de Raritan Valley Community College. Actualmente continúo mi educación en la
Universidad de Drexel para obtener mi Licenciatura en Ciencias en Educación Primaria (PK-4).
La enseñanza de los estudiantes es uno de los principales pasos finales para poder recibir mis
credenciales de enseñanza. ¡Siempre me ha apasionado trabajar y enseñar a los niños!
Como estudiante maestro, pasaré tiempo observando y participando en la gestión de la
clase, las rutinas y las lecciones. Trabajaré en el aula todos los días desde septiembre hasta
finales de marzo. Trabajaré en estrecha colaboración con la Sra. Fogarty para planificar y
enseñar lecciones dentro del aula. Con la asistencia de la Sra. Fogarty, iré asumiendo
gradualmente las responsabilidades del maestro de clase. ¡Estoy tan emocionada y afortunada de
poder trabajar con un grupo de niños tan increíble! Antes de que los estudiantes enseñaran en el
aula de la Sra. Fogarty, también se me han brindado muchas oportunidades para trabajar en otras
escuelas, tanto asistiendo como enseñando. Estas experiencias únicas a lo largo de mi carrera
educativa me han permitido extender mi amor y aprecio por la enseñanza. Además, estas
experiencias también me han asegurado que tenía las disposiciones, creencias y habilidades
apropiadas y adecuadas para proporcionar a los estudiantes experiencias de aprendizaje
equitativas y significativas que reflejen su desarrollo personal.
Me inspiré para convertirme en maestra debido a mi propia experiencia personal y las
relaciones con maestros anteriores. A lo largo de mi propia educación, siempre tuve la suerte de
recibir maestros que fueron equitativos, receptivos y comprensivos. A través de estas
experiencias en la escuela secundaria y la universidad y el amor, el apoyo y el aliento de mis
maestros anteriores, pude observar y comprender el valor de ser maestro y la influencia
beneficiosa que los maestros tienen en el desarrollo y crecimiento académico y social. Además,
pude comprender la importancia de las relaciones beneficiosas y respetuosas entre los estudiantes
y los maestros. Mi filosofía de la educación se concentra en el niño individual y sus necesidades
educativas. Todos los niños tienen la capacidad de aprender; si tienen el apoyo, los recursos y los
objetivos adecuados. Durante mi tiempo en la clase de su hijo, espero entusiasmar, inspirar y
ampliar su hijo, su educación y su creatividad.
Me gustaría agradecerle por brindarme la oportunidad de trabajar con su hijo. ¡Tengo
muchas ganas de conocerte! ¡También estoy muy emocionado de poder ayudar a todos sus hijos
a alcanzar su máximo potencial! Nuestros días aquí en la escuela estarán llenos de muchas
experiencias de aprendizaje increíbles y oportunidades para crecer y mejorar las habilidades y
capacidades de su hijo. ¡Espero tener un año maravilloso con usted y su hijo!
