Question:

Taqwa is known as fear, clinging to obedience to Allah and abandoning disobedience to

Him. It saves us from evils and sins by steadfastness on the right pathway. Allah loves to
the Muttaqeen and gives them His loyalty, support, protection and success in this life and
the Hereafter. So we can say that it is the source of outstanding betterment.

Keeping in mind the above mentioned facts you have to discuss in the light of Quranic
verses that Taqwa is the sum of all good

Answer:

The Arabic word taqwa means “forbearance fear and abstiness.” According to Quran
taqwa is as Islamic term for being conscious and cognizant of God, of truth, of the relational
reality, “piety, fear of God”

Taqwa is the sum of all goods. Taqwa keep us away from sins and insist us for good doings. In other
words taqwa keep us away from that behavior which may harm our spirituality Abu sa’id al-khudri
reported. A man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he said,
“O Messenger of Allah, instruct me.” The prophet said, “you most fear Allah, as it is the sum
of all good. You most wage jihad in the way of Allah, as it is the monasticism of the
Muslims. You most remember Allah and recite his book, as it will be a light for you on
earth and your mention in the heavens. You most hold your tongue except for what is good,
as by if you will defeat Satan.”

Abu Malik al-Asha’ ri reported: The Messenger of Allah, pace and blessings be upon him, said,

“when a man enters his house, let him say: O Allah, I asked you for the good of this
entrance and exit, in the name of Allah I enter in the name of Allah I leave, and upon Allah
our lord we rely. Then let him greet his family with peace.”

Verses of Quran about Taqwa.

1. mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into
nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verify, the most honorable of
you with Allah I that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious-

Many times, Taqwa of Allah (ta’ala) is translated as the fear and consciousness of Allah (ta’ala).
It is to remember Him at all times, to be fearful of his anger and to be conscious of him as our
creator.

When you are conscious of a thing, it is ever present in your mind. You think about it often and it
informs many of your actions that are related to it. That is how it is when we are conscious of

Allah(ta’ala). We remember him often, we seek his pleasure alone, and his words guide our daily
lives

2. O you who have believed, when you consult privately, do not consult about sin and
aggression and disobedience to the Messenger but converse about righteousness and
piety. And fear Allah , to whom you will be gathered. (Quran,58:9)

In above mentioned verse Allah has mentioned keep ALLAH in mind when you talk in privately and
don’t even thinks about disobedience of Messenger (S.A.W.S). Fear from ALLAH and ALLAH will
definitely gather you one day and asked about your deeds

3. Those who fears ALLAH,ALLAH will make for him ease in their matter..” (Surah
At-Talaq 65:4)

Allah is telling us about the reward of TAQWA and telling believers don’t upset and be firm on
your believes. ALLAH knows everything and will create ease in all of your suffering and
ALLAH is the only one who is truthful.

4. ” And unto Allah belong all that is in the Heavens and all that is on Earth. And,
Verily, we have recommended to the people of the scripture before you, and to you
(O Muslims) that you (all) fear Allah and keep your duty to him, but if you
disbelieve, then unto Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the
earth, and Allah is Ever Rich, worthy of all praise.” (Quran,4:131).

Everything in this universe or beyond this is only belongs to ALLAH and ALLAH is whole sole lord of
everything, ALLAH made heavens for believers and hell for disbelievers if we keep our duties according
to ALLAH will then we will be in heaven and even in this world he will help us and rewards us

5. “So be the owner of piety towards Allah, (Wish to reach Allah while you are living)
And obey me (depend on me). Be the owner of piety towards him (wish to reach
Allah) who helps you will the things that you know (with what he has taught you).
He has aided you with animals and sons. With gardens and water springs” Quran
(Surah Shuar, 131-134)

Remember the Blessings of ALLAH and don’t dis obey if you do ALLAH is “BENAYAZ” and
ALLAH does not need our worships. It is for us and remember how ALLAH bless us with
children’s and different means whom we use for travelling and use for our meals. Remember
ALLAH always
