INTRODUCTION
The lesson is planned for the 7th grade. As classes are usually divided into two groups, this
lesson is meant to teach students that need extra help in English. There are 11 students in the
classroom, which is arranged in a „horseshoe“ layout to have an access to every student and
allow one on one help. There is also an irregular verbs table on the wall. Depending on the
day, there may be some discipline problems. I Love English 5 workbook is used in this
lesson. The lesson will be a introduction to passive voice.
Resources:
- Student’s book (I Love English, 5)
- Handouts (Song lyrics)
- ClassroomScreen
- Computer with Internet connection and headspeakers
- Interactive whiteboard
CONCLUSION
The topic was chosen by the accuracy of that in my everyday work. When I took this topic
with my students, I started with rules. I feel like there should have been something they can
connect with. There isn’t a listening task related to passive voice in the student’s books and
even if there were, it would be boring for the students. That’s why I chose the (popular) song
to present the passive voice. My students have said that it’s convenient and easy to write
down the rules of grammar (in this case am/is/are + V3 & was/were + V3). In that way, it’s
easier to do the exercises when the topic seems difficult or doesn’t make sense yet. Writing
down the rules is followed by the practice which in my opinion is very important to go over
the topic and use the rule in a practical way. The teacher should point out the errors and fix
them (including pronunciation errors). The conclusion is important to close the topic, and
mentally and physically end the lesson. I also added the feedback activity, which gives the
teacher the information, where students are with their progress. It’s also useful information
when it comes to planning the next lesson.

APPENDICE 1
Adele – Someone Like You
I heard that you're (1)________ down
That you found a girl and you're (2)_________ now
I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things, I didn't give to you
Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
"Don't forget me, " I beg
"I'll remember, " you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead
You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We (3) ________ and (4)_________ in a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days
I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over
Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
"Don't forget me, " I begged
"I'll remember, " you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead
Nothing compares, no worries or cares
Regrets and mistakes, they (5)______ memories (6)_______
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?
