Time Management: Activity 4

Proven tips for increasing concentration and focus time


Start by: Tracking your “Pomodoro” or focus time

In this activity you will determine the following:

1. Your personal Pomodoro duration ( for example, 1 Pomodoro = 25 minutes);


2. The best time of day for you to focus, and
3. The number of Pomodoros that you can complete per day.

Step 1: In the first column in the table below, enter the title of the study activity that you are working on and then, in the
second column, fill in the action or task to be completed. For each action fill in the time of day you chose to action
the task.

Step 2: In the “Start time” and “End time” columns, fill in when you started your Pomodoro and when you stopped for a
break. If you successfully completed the Pomodoro tick the check box with a , if you were distracted, mark the
box with an . In the last column fill in the number of Pomodoros it took to complete the task.
