371 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week.
Jesus was in the stern, asleep. (Mark 4:38) “Most of us never lived through
a storm at sea, but many of us can identify with the emotions of that wild
ride. “Storm at sea” may come from lying awake fearing what our child’s life
may be, struggling with the loss of a job, news of physical or mental
diminishment or grieving a broken relationship. All carry a feeling of being alone or
helpless. This story tells us Jesus is still with us, not visibly, but He will not abandon
us.” (Sr. Chris Koelhoffer) I.H.M. Call today for an hour to renew your trust. Our Lord
is waiting for you, a friend, a family member, or a co-worker to fill on vacant hour.
Monday midnight -1am, Wednesday 2-3am or Thursday 2-3am. Please call Joie at
330-745-6852.

If you are in or have entered the hospital and would like to be visited by one of our
priest’s, please call the rectory at 330-745-0011. If you have a surgery planned and
would like to be anointed, please call prior to hospitalization as to make sure you
receive the sacrament. If there is someone you know who has been returned to
health and can be removed from the sick list, please contact the rectory.

Parents must be like John the Baptist “a voice crying in the wilderness” in our
consumer society. While society pressures us to shop until we drop the weeks until
Christmas, you have the opportunity to “prepare the way of the Lord” in the lives of
your children.

Pastor’s Pick of the Week: “Mary of Nazareth”

Mary of Nazareth is an epic motion picture on the life of Mary, Mother of Christ, from her
childhood through the Resurrection of Jesus. Shot in high definition, it was filmed in Europe with
outstanding cinematography, a strong cast, and a majestic music score. Actress Alissa Jung
gives a beautiful, compelling, and inspiring portrayal of Mary.
The film vividly captures the essence of Mary's profound faith and trust in God amidst
the great mysteries that she lived with as the Mother of the Messiah, as well as her
compassionate humanity and concern for others, and the deep love that she and Jesus shared
for one another. The movie underscores her special role in God's plan for our redemption, her
unique relationship with Christ, and the tremendous suffering that she endured in union with his
Passion and Death, as well as her serene joy at his Resurrection.
This movie is not rated, but was created with an adult audience in mind. It may contain
violence indicative of the life and times of the saint or character portrayed. We would
recommend Parental Guidance and that parents preview it before watching with children.

Christ’s Peace!

Fr. David Majikas
