Which is more important  EQUIPMENT


FIRST AIDER or E.M.S.?
1. Survey the scene ( if the scene is SAFE)
2. Shout for help to catch attention of anybody in the area.
3. Approach and Identify yourself as a BLS Provider.
4. Check for responsiveness of the victim
(tapping the shoulder twice) and ask “Are you okay?”
5. Point a person to activate EMS or AMBULANCE.

6. Check simultaneously the pulse by locating the carotid
pulse and breathing of the victim, if there is no movement
of the chest, gasping and have agonal breathing.
7. Check the pulse and breathing for at least 6 seconds. If no
pulse and breathing.
8. Proceed to CPR
9. Follow when to STOP CPR?
