District Policy. Please provide all district policies on human sexuality educa on, puberty educa on,
human growth and development, family life educa on, and matura on, including the adop on date and
whether it was adopted by the school board or district administra on with or without an official board
vote. See attached board policy EHAA(LEGAL), updated by TASB on 10/17/2013
and approved by the Lago Vista ISD Board of Trustees through the approval of TASB
policy services Update 98 on 11/13/2013. The motion to approve carried 6-0. See
approval of board approved minutes from December 16, 2013.  The Lago Vista ISD
Board of Trustees also approved the SHAC's recommendation to adopt the "Draw the
Line/Respect the Line" curriculum for grades 6-8 on March 11, 2015.  The motion to
approve carried 7-0.  See attached board approved minutes from May 18, 2015.

Schedules. Please provide copies of course schedules, instructors, lis ngs, or other documents that
reflect what courses required or elective are offered in your district schools that contain informa on
involving any human sexuality instruc on. At Lago Vista Intermediate School, students in
grade 4 are provided with the "Always Changing" curriculum in late May. At Lago
Vista Middle School, students in grades 6-8 are required to take the middle school
Health course once in grade 7 or 8. The middle school Health course integrates the
7th and 8th grade lessons from the "Draw the Line/Respect the Line"
curriculum. See the attached 2019-2020 Lago Vista ISD Middle School Course
Guide. At Lago Vista High School, policy EHAC(LEGAL) requires a district to use the
parenting and paternity awareness program  Parenting and Paternity Awareness
(PAPA) developed by the SBOE in its high school health curriculum.  However, high
school health is no longer a required elective course by the State of Texas and,
therefore, is no longer offered in Lago Vista ISD.  The District, instead, offers Lifetime
Nutrition & Wellness, which does not require the parenting and paternity awareness
curriculum.  See attached policy EHAC(LEGAL).

Parental No fica on. Please provide copies of no fica on to parents about human sexuality

Vista Intermediate School) and Draw the Line Letter (Grades 7 or 8 at Lago Vista

Texas Education Code 28.004(f). See attached policy EHAA(LEGAL).

Organiza ons. Please provide a list of any organiza ons or other en es or resources provided to

Lago Vista ISD, direct referrals to outside mental health organizations are only made
to Austin Travis County Integral Care Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) in the
event of a high risk suicide intervention. For families needing assistance locating
resources, the District has compiled a list of local, regional, and national resources
that is made available to all parents and students. This resource guide includes
resources related to human sexuality issues. See attached Lago Vista ISD Crisis &
Counseling Resources.

Pregnant Students. Please provide a copy of your policy regarding no fica on of parent(s) when a
student says she is pregnant or thinks she is pregnant. There is no such codified policy. Title IX
prohibits school districts from applying any policy or practice related to a student's
parental, family, or marital status differently based upon gender. Therefore, any
policy requiring school notification in the case of a pregnant student must be applied
equally in the case of a male student who impregnates someone. Upon learning of a
student's pregnancy, a District employee will generally work with the student to
ensure that she informs her parents. An exception may apply if the employee has
cause to believe that a student's pregnancy may be the result of child abuse on the
part of a parent, in which case additional Child Protective Services (CPS) reporting
standards apply. If the school maintains a record in any form that indicates that a
student is or may be pregnant, the parent has the right to request and receive the
