Among the Pines

Global climate change has been an epidemic for as long as we have lived on this earth

plus some. But for some reason, it hasn’t been a concerning matter until recently it seems. All of

a sudden we are realizing that our planet has been dying for years and now we want to do

something about it because our lives will be in danger if we don’t? Why didn’t we act sooner

when there were small signs of global warming? Why didn’t we worry about the earth then, even

when our lives weren’t at as much risk? Why is it just now that we are trying to do something to

save this beautiful and selfless world that we live in?

We are selfish beings who have consumed more than we were ever supposed to and now

it’s all coming back to bite. If you take but don’t give, there will be plenty of bad karma coming

your way, and that bad karma is starting to show up in natural disasters all around the world. The

earth has been dying for many years now and it is up to us if we want to stop it or not. There is

still time, but the end is drawing ever near.

Many deny this end and don’t notice the changes in the weather, and the unanswered

questions behind the many natural disasters that are happening around us. Instead, these

organizations are adding to the increase of global warming with there oversized grazing lands,

and constant oil production cooperations. They don’t realize that what they are doing is heavily

affecting our earth and each one of us. Is the luxury of it all worth the end of the world? We are

taking more than we have been given and it is now showing in the longer summer temperatures

and flooding cities all around the world.

Many of these people that are skeptical of global warming have a lot of excuses about

why there is no such thing, or how it’s not our fault. They believe that the earth is beginning to
cool and that this is just a phase of the earth cycle and it will all go back to normal soon. They

believe that plants and animals have the ability to adapt to this ever-warming earth and will be

able to learn to live in the new temperatures, or with the growing oceans, or with fewer glaciers.

They believe that the glaciers are growing and the polar bear population is increasing. Sadly, all

of this is false and the earth is slowly dwindling away. The polar bears are at risk of extinction,

the earth is in fact warming, and glaciers are receding.

Among the Pines is an organization that understands the severity of this situation and is

focusing on creating a sustainable lifestyle for everyone in order to slow the effects of humans,

or maybe even stop them altogether. If people want to help the earth then they can team up with

Among the Pines to become more educated on climate change and learn what they can do to

bring the awareness to others around them, while at the same time changing their lifestyle for the

better as well.

Among the Pines’ goal is to build sustainable neighborhoods where people can become

waste-free, carbon-neutral, and landfill-free. We are looking to create a better and safer future for

ourselves and our children. We want to get animals off the risk for extinction list and encourage

native plants to grow in abundance all around us. We can be one with nature again, as long as we

are willing to work together and sacrifice a little to save a lot, including ourselves.

The earth is sick, and it’s up to us to save it. Join the movement by becoming more

sustainable and educated on global warming. The earth will thank you.
