Global warming is the observed century-scale rise in the average
temperature of Earth's climate system. It is a Carbon dioxide and other air
pollution that is collecting in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping
the sun's heat and causing the planet to warm up. Global warming is a complex
phenomenon, and its full-scale impacts are hard to predict far in advance. But
each year scientists learn more about how global warming is affecting the planet,
and many agree that certain consequences are likely to occur if current trends
continue. In Scientific understanding of the cause of global warming has been
increasing. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) reported that
scientists were more than 90% certain that most of global warming was being
caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases produced by human
activities. Affirming these findings in 2013, the IPCC stated that the largest driver
of global warming is carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from fossil fuel
combustion, cement production, and land use changes such as deforestation.

The United States is often noted as the being the most significant
contributor to historical emissions of global warming pollution. Most of these
emissions occur when power plants burn coal or natural gas and when vehicles
burn gasoline or diesel. Though Americans make up just 4 percent of the world's
population, they produce 25 percent of the carbon dioxide pollution from fossil-
fuel burning by far the largest share of any country In fact; the United States emits
more carbon dioxide than China, India and Japan, combined. Clearly America
ought to take a leadership role in solving the problem.

The Philippines is also considered as one of the contributor countries to

global warming pollution. One of these emissions is the pollution came from jeep
that the Filipino’s used in everyday and also the waste of the Filipino when they
burn it. Because of these emissions it affects the climate and the weather that
cause of untimely and stronger typhoons and causing of sickness and disease of
the Filipino.

The effects of an increase in global temperature include a rise in sea levels

and a change in the amount and pattern of precipitation, as well as a probable
expansion of subtropical deserts. Warming is expected to be strongest in the
Arctic, with the continuing retreat of glaciers, permafrost and sea ice. Other likely
effects of the warming include more frequent extreme weather events including
heat waves, droughts and heavy rainfall; ocean acidification; and species
extinctions due to shifting temperature regimes. Effects significant to humans
include the threat to food security from decreasing crop yields and the loss of
habitat from inundation

There are some simple solutions to cut global warming pollution, by

reducing pollution from vehicles and power plants. Right away, we should put
existing technologies for building cleaner cars and more modern electricity
generators into widespread use. We can increase our reliance on renewable energy
sources such as wind, sun and geothermal. And we can manufacture more
efficient appliances and conserve energy.

Here's the good news: technologies exist today to make cars that run
cleaner and burn less gas, modernize power plants and generate electricity from
nonpolluting sources, and cut our electricity use through energy efficiency. The
challenge is to be sure these solutions are put to use.
Other Global Warming Solution
1. Set limits on global warming pollution
2. Invest in green jobs and clean energy
3. Drive smarter cars
4. Create green homes and buildings
5. Build better communities and transportation networks

What can I do to help fight global warming?

There are many simple steps you can take right now to cut global warming
pollution. Make conserving energy a part of your daily routine. Each time you
choose a compact fluorescent light bulb over an incandescent bulb. And also I can
help by joining programs and organization to control the global warming and
protect the earth.
