STRENGTH:

 In the industry for more than 2 decades
WEAKNESS:
 Many of his original and skilled employees were now naring retirement.
 Area of business is rural
 It is no longer possible to ignore the fact that that revenue were beginning to
slow clear a sign of stagnation

OPPORTUNITIES:

 Replacing those skilled workers with areas brightest and best young people
 Making quality goods can be used to ensure that increase their market share, as
the customers will be loyal to their service. This can be used to ensure that they
still sell their goods at higher prices.

 Edmund should examine every technology the company employs and identify
ways to reduce cost
 Human resource of the company should recruit new employees and train them

A The internet play a important role in corrugated box industry because through internet
you can provide online purchase of products and service to customers you can easily
control inventory you can provide customer statisfaction through internet by providing
description of products you had you can control budgeting through internet etc there
some ways the Edmunds could better use the internet to foster growth. They would hire
skilled worker. They trained them well. Look at what competitor are giving and hat we
are giving. now the changes in enviorment factors etc.

3. Which of Porter’s competitive strategies would you recommend that Edmunds follow?
Why? Which of the strategies do you think would be least likely to succeed?

A I think the porter competitive strategies the Edmunds should follow the both cost and
differntation stategy. In cost strategy they should the cost of plastic material less than the
competitor to make profit but in differnation strategy they want to introduce new or
unique products in the market that differed their product. And there is focus strategy is
less likely to adopt because the company already focus on some products.
