1. An Evaluation of the Numerical Ability of Grade 11 STEM Learners
 Bendanio; Bracho; Momongan; Mondigo; Perellin
-Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics learners of St. Catherine’s College are
worthy of their future professions. This study revealed the majority of the STEM students excelled
in their numerical ability in their subjects. It showed the importance of their studies for their
future occupations. I agree with the researchers’ recommendations that to some students whose
numerical ability haven’t shone, still need improvement and can still enhance it. To those who
did, they should continue it for the better future ahead of them.

2. A Clean and Green Campaign: An Evaluation of Barangay Pitalo’s Practices and Compliance On RA
9003 Policy
 Malaga; Tangaro, C; Mondejar; Llanto; Caballero; Amistad
-This study found that there are several who are knowledgeable of Solid Waste Management
Act from the residents of Bgy. Pitalo but only a few lack enough of the practice of the Republic
Act. Upon the findings of this study I realized that there are tons of environmental risks if solid
waste isn’t disposed properly. Upon this study I gained more knowledge and realized that one
should practice the Republic Act 9003 or proper waste disposal all the time because the
environment will be put at risk if we don’t do so.

3. Physio-Chemical and Biological Parameter Analysis of Water Quality Among Selected Springs of
Carcar City, Cebu, Central Philippines
 Agustin; Megallano; Ohayas; Siacor; Wasawas
- Their study proved that water in springs are safe for usage for domestic, agricultural,
industrial purposes and etc. I reflected that the availability of water is essential to its suitability as
drinking water, domestic usage and more. I realized that it is important knowing if a contaminant
is in the water tells how it will affect animals or humans.

4. The Efficacy of Limonene Extract from Citrus Maxima Pericarp as A Natural Cleansing Agent
 Aleonar; Bargamento, S.; Jayme; Labasan; Rojo; Tangaro, E.
-This study showed that Limonene Extract is indeed effective as a cleansing agent. Branded
cleansing agents are highly toxic to the atmosphere and can greatly damage the ozone layer. So
limonene extract can be beneficial since it is a substitute for the branded cleansing agents. In this
case this natural cleansing agent can help prevent environmental risks. This study also enlightened
me to be mindful of the safety of the environment.

5. A Study on the Effects of Caffeine Consumption and Its Ramification Among Grade Twelve
Students of St. Catherine’s College
 Baran, N.; Israel; Tenebro; Barolo; Obaob;
-Caffeine may be a very effective for increased alertness of a person. But this study tackled
that caffeine could have both positive and negative effects to students. This study made me
comprehend that caffeine intake led to increased alertness and anxiety and improved
performance of students. At the same time, there are cases of feeling tired in the morning and
having difficulty sleeping in adolescents. I realized that caffeine can have its certain benefits but
also has some risks with it.
6. Financial Literacy Among Bachelor of Science in Business Administration College Graduating
Students
 Suarez; Albarracin; dela Fuente; Benolerao; Allosada; Albarracin
-This study made me realize that it is very essential that each person should have the ability
to understand how money works. I myself am not quite knowledgeable about financial matters. I
think that this study if very beneficial to people who have little information as to how to manage
money and to earn or to invest it.

7. Multi-Criteria Based Analysis of Carcar City’s Suitability as a Hub for Residential Housing
Development
 Satorre, L.; Garces; Pizana; Villarosa; Paraz; Daan; Eliorda;
-Despite the industrial and commercial advantages in the City of Carcar, it had to undergo
criteria analysis if it suitable as a hub for residential housing development. It made me understand
that although Carcar City has certain environmental problems, the city is appropriate for
residential housing development. There may still be needed improvements in the residency of
Carcar. But at the same time this study made me realize the perks of Carcar City in regards to its
industrial and commercial areas.

8. Influence of Marginalized Informal Economies of Loan Shark to The Lives of Carcar Public Market
Vendors
 Geniobia; Quijano; Bargamento, J.; Sismar; Allera; Alicaya;
-Filipino entrepreneurs have an especially difficult time obtaining loans from formal lenders
to start or expand their businesses. But there were cases of loan sharks in the economy. I realized
upon their study that vendors have certain issues in their businesses. This study made me
comprehend that there the influence of loan sharks could be crucial to vendors’ lives and
expanding one’s business can be challenging.

9. The Use of Hagonoy (Chromolaena Odorata) Crude Leaf Extraction in Healing Minor Wounds to
The Selected Residents of Guadalupe, Carcar City
 dela Cerna; Sanchez; Guazo; Panuncialman; Abarquez;
- Upon this study I gained knowledge of the chemicals that were present in the Hagonoy that
became factors of wound healing. This study showed an enhanced wound healing process of the
Chromolaena Odorata. It showed that it is an effective healing agent. Their study is very beneficial
for clinical development in the field of medicine.

10. Socio-Economic Stability Vis-À-Vis Academic Performance of the Grade 10 Learners

 Campaña, S.; Satuita; Julve; Anticamara; Llanos; Villanueva;
-Socioeconomic status may seem like the most related variable to academic performance. In
this study the researchers found that one’s socio-economic stability did have a significant
relationship to the factors of academic performance of students. I pondered that a child’s
educational welfare will be enhanced, and that it is better if parents had improved their
socioeconomic statuses. But this will only occur if also the government could come up with
improvements or policies for a better socio-economic climate for families our country.
11. Attitude Building Activities Towards Disruptive Behavior of Grade Twelve Technical-Vocational
and Livelihood Learners
 Bugtong; Dagatan; Ybañez; Medalle; Baran, P.
-Young people from troubled, chaotic homes are bringing patterns of antisocial behavior to
school. I thought that this study was very interesting and relatable to us students and we have
met this kind of situation in school too. Their study found that there still a need of engagement in
attitude building activities towards students with disrupted behavior. I agree with the researchers’
recommendations since it may improve the performance of students not only at school but also
their daily practices.

12. The Impact of Sleep Deprivation to Grade Nine Students’ Academic Performance
 Campaña, L.; Remo; Gomez; Manayaga; Lauron
- As a student, I can greatly relate to this topic. There have been cases of sleeplessness of
students in school. Their study revealed that despite how lack of sleep doesn’t affect the grades
of the students, it showed that lack of sleep has a definite impact on the academic performance
of students especially in the ability to focus during discussions and participation in class. I realized
that if one really values academic achievement, it is important to have enough sleep for an
individual’s daily functioning and wellness.

13. Impact of Price Hike to Basic Necessities of Candle Vendors

 Leyson; Savior; Canencia; Bolo; Caballero;
-Candle vendors have been part of the St. Catherine’s College students’ daily lives. Through
this study, I understood that vendors also have a desperate need. This study revealed that there
was a significant relationship between economic status and basic needs of the candle vendors.
Their economic status is affected due to the price hike situation. That is why I agree with the
livelihood programs that were recommended by the researchers.
