Class 11A-2. Date 24th of October 2019.

Teaching a new unit was a good experience. It is a new thing to start with a new unit at the first,
which talks about new topic and an interesting one as well. The lesson was about two people’s
life at the work, what is their work and how do they manage it besides how do they deal with
new challenges every day. The two different jobs were about a principal that talks about
different roles and challenges he goes through every day, and about a foreign teacher that share
his feelings about being the only foreigners in an Arabic school and how he deal with this. The
pre-stage was about another topic due to the task I was asked for, which was about activating
the learning board with the students. I started to give them some hints about the question and
then they discussed it with their peers through a worksheet, and then we did it as a whole
classroom. The next stage was the while stage, I asked them to read, answer and identify some
new terms related to the reading texts. They did it and this stage was little bit boring in which
they just read and answer in a traditional way, I think, I should made that stage more interesting
through different strategies, in which they get more excitement while doing it. Such as, making
the reading as a competition and give it to them as a jigsaw, so they read and move until they
collect all the answers and then share it. Next time, I will make sure to give them reading texts in
a different way, where they can learn and have fun at once.
