POINT OF INSPECTION

* Checking of Hull and Mooring lines upon Arrival on Ship


- check hull damage, rust, peel off paint, marine growth, draft marking and dents
- check anchor, anchor fluke ( if touching and dent ), check if twisted
- check rudder if there is oil or grease leak and check draft marking if faded
- check ramps for grease, leaks, rust, plywoods, markings and angle indicator ( Carship only )

* Checking of Gangway ( outside view if PCC )


- check markings ( swl, max. person, min. allow. angle ) if stenciled or posted
- check condition of steps, rollers, net, wire and stanchion post
- check for grease marking at flatform, main roller including rubber and pin

* Checking of Security Station


- check Marsec level
- check visitors log, tide table, number of id (if some missing), gangway notice and crew shore log
- check performance of duty person

* Proceed to Ships office for meeting with Master and C/E


- opening meeting
- check IOPP ( OCM details ) and IAPP ( ODS details )
- check crewlist (if crew more than 10months) and gather needed documents
- check fire plan and updated attached crewlist ( length of hose in Deck, E/R and Steering room )

* Checking of Elevator Machine Traction Room


- check date of wire renewal ( grease ) and changed of lub oil on crankcase of motor
- condition, cleanliness and orderliness
- insulation mat on panel board if displayed

* Checking of Funnel Side and other Vent. Fan


- check black smoke and condition of smoke stack
- testing of E/R fire damper if operated smoothly, gap and good condition
- check oil stain at the back of funnel
- check galley exhaust fan if oily, rusty and in good condition
- check hospital Exh vent fan if rusty and in good condition
- check Prov. Store vent fan if rusty and in good condition

* Checking of E/R Ventilation Fan Room


- check condition of fan room if dirty
- check condition of vent fan ( inside ) if damaged including wire mesh screen and brackets
- check for rust and abnormalities
- check markings and smooth operation for opening-closing

* Checking of Deck Cranes ( If have )


- check panel board including insulation mattings
- check condition of Deck cranes
- check motors, inside cabin space including doors and wipers
- check condition of angle indicators
- check SWL marking
* Cheking inside E/R space funnel
- check cleanliness of area
- check oil and steam leaks
- check insulation on wall and pipings if damage
- check expansion tank and sight glass if oily or dirty
- check around EGE upper side for any gas leaks and steam leaks
- check smoke detector, lightings and fire hose on the area
- check hypermist nozzle if painted with red

* Checking around Boiler area


- check safety valves, blowdown valves and leaks on upper side
- check insulaton covers and upper condition
- check leak on sight glass and water level
- check marking of danger zone (if maker is Sunflame)
- check burner for leaks and pressure gauge
- check cascade tank, sight glass and temperature
- check aux. condenser and pipings

* Checking of Steering Gear Room


- check msds and ppe of L.O. and chemicals ( separate acids and alkiline )
- check obstruction on bilge well and conditon of portble bilge pump
- check telephone and compass
- check rudder indicator and oil leaks
- check tank levels and proper markings
- check sprinkler, foam, hypermist, hydraulic tanks and motors
- check drum lashing

* Checking of Emergency Fire Pump


- check condition of vacuum pump, motor and underside of pump
- check suction, discharge valve and pressure gauge
- check condition of bilge well
- check markings of minimum draft

* Checking of Aft Mooring Deck


- check condition of ropes and fairlead
- check condition of break lining, clearance of support bolt, and clearance of break handle lever
- check scupper plugs and fresh water tank filling line
- check condition of ballast tanks air vent bonnet
- check ventilation fan of steering gear

* Checking at Purifier , Air Compressor, Backwash Filter and Pumps Etc.


- check oil leak, pressure gauges, pump gland, and condition of pumps
- check cleaning date, counter and condition of refiner and F.O. / L.O. backwash fiter
- check condition of air reservoir tank, air dryer and air compressor
- check condition of FWG, proper ppe and msds ( if there is a chemical ), and condition of pipes
- check pressure of seawage, valves ( with marking ) and return line
- check garbage can, kerosene washing tank tubes and covers
* Checking of Main Diesel Generator
- check pressure, indicators, gas and oil leaks
- check F.O. drain tank valve, insulations of pipes and FN tapes

* Checking of Incinerator
- check date of safety device test and familiarization test
- check plibrico inside of furnace
- check panel board for abnormalities and leakage on burner
- check exhaust pipes for any leakage
- check marpol placards for garbage

* Checking of Main Egine Upper Side


- check for any leakage of oil and water
- check FN tapes of high pressure pipes and joints
- check lashing of M.E. spare parts
- check foam applicator and date of expiry
- check engine room sprinkler nozzle ( painted with red )
- check turbo charger manometer
- check fire hose in engine room ( length and connection )
- check all tanks gagging

* Checking of Engine Workshop


- check garbage can, rags storage, high voltage and smoking zone marking
- check angle grinder and cutting tools protection cover
- check motor grinder disk clearance at protection glass
- check IMO symbols in lathe machine
- check oxy-acytelene hoses and pressure
- check spare parts room, its cleanliness and orderliness
- check floor insulation matting and obstruction on on panel board
- check workshop unit cooler

* Checking of Engine Control Room


- check C/E standing order
- check M.E. control console, RPM indicator and gauges
- check alarm log and repose alarm on CRT
- check main switch board, insulation matting and D/G parameters
- check 100V and 440V low insulation resistance
- check back side of main switch board for any obstruction
- check overdue on pms
- test oil mist detector ( if located in engine control room )
- check first aid kit and expired/unknown medicine
- check life jacket and emersion suit ( procedure of donning, type and marking )
- check fire/smoke alarm in control room

* Checking of Engine Documents


- check oil record book ( proper entries )
- check ODS records ( if using check entries in ORB )
- check SEEMP ( entries, evaluation and records )
- check bunker delivery note/sheet ( 3 years ), checklist, plan, sounding record and pre-meeting
- check bunker MSDS
- check F.O. and L.O. analysis, L.O. supply sheet
- check Boiler water analysis and CFW analysis
- check Engine Parameter ( for NOX Technical File )
- check Engine logbook ( entries )
- check NK ( green book ) for entries
- check safety device, quick closing valves, Ess test and Sprinkler records
- check arrival and departure checklist
- check fuel change-over procedure, checklist, calculation sheet and records
- check C/E night order ( optional )
* Checking of Main Engine Partial Deck
- check condition of M.E. local side
- check last date of M.E. local side testing
- check RPM indicator and pressure gauges
- check M.E. aux. blower and M.E. air cooler
- check oil mist detector and test the alarm
- check alpha lubricator
- check F.O. leak drain tank valve
- check primary tank sight glass

* Checking of Lower Floor


- check OWS 15ppm alarm, overboard valve, sampling valve and log history
- check M.E. turning gear
- check cranckcase ( outside ) of M.E.
- check self closing valve of ballast and F.O.
- check MCSW, ballast, fire and g.s., f.o. transfer pump condition and pressure gauge
- check shaft grounding device
- check tank top condition and bilge wells
- check lower side of M.E. air cooler including manometer
- check escape trunk
- check condition of pipings and emerg. fire pump insulation pipe

* Checking of Air Cond room and Ref. room


- check PPE for refrigerant using
- check condition of air cond and refrigeration unit
- check panel board and insulation mat
- check temp of fish room, meatroom and vegetable room arround accom
- check inside condition of fish, meat and vegetable room including lightings and doors

* Checking Emergency Generator


- check insulation mat
- check 100V low insulation resistance
- test run emergency generator with 1 & 2 Battery (manual) and test run also by auto (bulk only)
- check voltage and hertz
- check no.1 and no.2 battery during running
- test fuel tank quick closing valve
- check markings on level gauge
- check condition of engine ( FN tapes and rust )

* Checking of CO2 or Foam tank Room


- check condition of CO2
- chek valves and procedure of ussage
- check connection
- check level of foam tank
- check certificates

* Checking of Oxy-Acytelene Room


- check oxy-acytelene hoses and pressure
- check tank conditon and lashing
- check if elevated in the flooring
- check arrangement
- check Bunker sample at Paint store

* Checking of Bow Thruster Room ( If have )


- check condition of panel board including insulation matting
- check oil level of tank
- check Bow thruster vent fan
- check Bow thruster motor and shaft
- check tank top and measure stored water

* Making of Report and Closing Meeting


- Upload OBS to Vamos and make Boarding record
- Print and explain to C/E and Master
- List down or take note the ff:
# last Black out test of Emerg. Generator
# last testing of Shut off Valve
# last testing of ESS
# last testing of hypermist and foam
# last testing of M.E. local side
# last cleaning of refiner select
- Closing Meeting
