SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN MATHEMATICS 1

Grade I- Melon
Date: 10-21-19

I. Objectives
At the end of the 50-minute session, the students will be able to:
a. add the number of objects up to ten (10);
b. give the correct answer of adding numbers up to ten(10) through
activity; and
c. show accuracy in adding the objects or numbers up to ten (10) through
counting.

II. Subject Matter


Learning Competency: Visualizes and adds two one-digit numbers with sums
up to 10 using the order and zero property of addition.
Topic: Adding up to 10
Materials: Cartolina, Color paper, and plastic bottle, popsicle.

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Classroom Routine
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Attendance
2. Motivation
o Christmas is coming soon right? Are you excited?
o Who among you here received a gift last Christmas?
o What kind of gift you have received?
o For example, when your Aunt gave you three (3) pieces of animal toys
and your mother gave you two (2) teddy bears, how many object do you
have?

B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity (GiveMe)
The teacher divide the students into two groups, each group have ten(10)
small gifts. Their task is to give the number of gifts the teacher ask. The first
group who can give the correct number of objects got one (1) point, and the first
group who got 3 points will be the winner.
2.Analysis.
- The teacher will ask the following questions:
How did you know the number of objects?
Did you count it well?
What did you do to determine the overall number of objects?
3. Abstraction.
The teacher will discuss the following concepts.
Adding up to 10

+ =
3 + 2 = 5

4. Application.
The teacher will play the "bottle game". The teacher will role the
bottle and call someone to answer the problem.
Generalization.
The teacher will ask the following question:
If Jerson got 3 stars in math subjects and 4 stars in English,
how many stars Jerson had?

IV. Evaluation.

Add the problem.

V. Assignment
Solve the following problem.
