talents. JP group organizes the most beautiful and the most awaited mega
fest – “INCEPTRA aiming to disperse some life in the air and build up an
atmosphere where fun is kith and joy is kin. The mission of the Festival is

GENERAL RULES
❖ Carrying College ID card is a must around the clock.
❖ Wearing the Inceptra T-shirts of respective colleges is mandatory for all the students of all years.
❖ Students should enroll themselves in the events before the provided date of registration
❖ Once the institute sends the list of participants (Entry Forms) no change will be permitted
thereafter.
❖ In case of collision of two events, the participant will choose one, he/ she wants to participate in,
however the schedule will be provided much ahead and the decisions can be made accordingly.
❖ Participants should reach the venue half an hour before start of the event and report to the
concerned incharge.
❖ Students participating in the sports events will have to fill the consent form.
❖ Decision of Judge(s) is final and binding.
❖ Disqualifying a team may be done by the organizers anytime on basis of misbehavior,
misconduct or presentation not on theme. Thereby implying, thorough reading of the rules of
individual events before participating. Maintaining discipline and decorum of the event is a must.
❖ 2019 Inceptra organizing committee has the final authority and say in all matters.

ARTS AND CRAFTS
GENERAL RULES :
1. T – SHIRT DESIGNING :
In this competition, design and paint your own T-shirt. It is a place where everyone and anyone can join in. And
yes, you need not be an expert to do this. All you require is a blast of energy and lots of enthusiasm. Bring out the
creativity that’s hidden in you and let your personality reflect in it. No Pre-requisites are required.
• T - shirts will be provided by the organizers.
• Designing your T shirt with cuttings, adding of some ribbons etc. is allowed and may fetch some
more points.
• The painted T – shirt will be retained by the organizers.
• Judging criteria: concept, effective use of painting style, creativity, effectiveness of the message to be
conveyed and an overall impact of T shirt.
Theme: WATER : A NECESSITY No. of participants: 1 student Time duration: 1 hour.

3. DESIGN A RANGOLI
Rangoli is traditionally considered as a symbol of luck and many of our houses still practice it every day. So,
Inceptra provides you a platform to unveil your potential and put forward the best. All you need to do is splash
your colors in rangoli…..
Judging criteria: concept, creativity, colors, effectiveness, neatness, finishing & overall impact.
Theme : Suswagatam No. of participants :Team of 4 Time duration : 1 hr 30 mins.
7. HENNA- MEHNDI
MEHNDI : brings luck and charm for the girls and ladies . It has its own importance and place in our culture
since ages and it continues…. So this section of competition allows the individual to produce the best and finest
of the art forms of Mehndi.
• Individual participation. 1/2 to 2/3rd of the forearm is to be covered by the design on the palmar aspect of
hand. Time duration : 1 hour

8. CUSHION DESIGNING
Stitching is an art and not everyone’s cup of tea. It needs great skill and talent to produce a real worthwhile piece.
So this Inceptra, is providing a platform to present this piece of talent. This is basically a stitching competition ..
• Contestants are required to bring their own basic uncovered cushions and plain cushion cover. Stitching is
to be done on the spot.
• Only the front part of the cover needs to be ready as the part presented will only be judged. Any material
including laces, threads, beads, buttons etc can be used.
• Judgment will be done on the basis of neatness, design, amount of effort and presentation.
• It's a one man show. Time allotted: 1 hour 30 minutes.
9. POT PAINTING-
Pot is the ceramic material which makes up pottery wares, of which major types include earthenware, stoneware
and porcelain. This segment of competition deals with the painting and decoration of pot….
o Size of pot – MEDIUM / LARGE
o Primer can be put earlier. Basic paints and decoration to be done here.
o Judging will be made on the displayed part only.
Time alloted- 2 hrs. No of participants per college : 1
Processions are an important part of Indian wedding, being it bridal or groom. Both the sides of the family are
equally enthusiastic and are at the best arrangements during the procession. So, this is a completely different out
of the box competition which gives every individual an opportunity to go back to the memories of the marriages
of the closed ones and recollect the memories of the best processions they have attended. So, all the participants
need to collect all the required pieces and make a beautiful procession bridal or groom.

19. HANDICRAFT MAKING
This competition belongs to all the highly creative people who have the talent to engineer any piece of handicraft.
No rules or limitations for this competition. Any type of material including papers, boxes, cylinders, décor items,
laces etc. can be used. More the handicraft is ready and beautiful, more will be the points awarded. The marking
will be based on the cleanliness, decoration, presentation etc.
No of participants: 1-2 Time duration: 1 hour
General rules:
✓ In events that require music, Participants should submit their tracks in a Pen drive (name and details
should be written on it) half an hour before the event starts.
✓ No fire, water and heavy objects should be used on stage.
✓ No indecency will be tolerated on stage.
✓ Decision of the judges will be final and binding.
✓ Musical Instruments will not be provided by us.

2. ENGLISH SKIT COMPETITION:
Dramatics is a state of art which enables an individual to learn the act of expression. Dramatics helps develop
expressiveness and effectiveness in ones’ life. This is a simple English dramatic competition, where a small story
is to be enacted on stage. These can be from Shakespeare to Cinderella..
• The script is to be spoken on stage. No pre recorded script will be entertained.
• Graphics or background animations can be used if required.
• Marking will be done on presentation, script, effectiveness, costumes and over all impact.
No. Of Participants Per College : 4 – 8 Time On Stage : 6+3 minutes
4. FLASH MOB
Dancing with feet is one thing and dancing with heart another. This is a completely different social sector of
competition in which the dance is to be combined with a social message. So the dancers have to make their
movements and steps effective enough to move the audience with their message….
• Dance can be performed with live song/ music, single song or a parody of songs. Including props and
charts will fetch more marks. Perfect costumes and make up will add on the performance.
• Judging criteria: Concept, co-ordination, level of energy and over all impact on people.

5. CONTEMPORARY DANCE-
Live your truth, express your love, share your enthusiasm, take actions towards your dreams… walk your talk,
dance and sing to your music, embrace your blessings, make today worth remembering…. by Dr. Steve
Marauboli…. This is a competition for contemporary form of dance with theme. The acts need to be creative with
some acting and more of dancing. The competition gives a wide zone for creativity…. in which any concept with
transformation can be used.
• Dance can be performed with single song or a parody of songs. Props are allowed. Perfect costumes and
make up will add on the performance.
• Judging criteria: Concept, co-ordination, level of energy, effectiveness of act and over all impact.

6. DECIBEL : GROUP SONG COMPETITION
Longing for a platform to showcase your vocal skills? Inceptra - an awesome stage to perform on, and Decibel is
the best place to be! The competition allows you to enhance the performance and vocal skills through various
notes ..ups and downs … the song may be a single song / parody or even a part of original piece ..
• Languages : Hindi. Accompaniment as instruments or backing track is allowed.
Theme: QAWWALI Time On Stage : 4 +1 Minutes No Of Participants– 5- 8
8. STAND UP COMEDY
COMEDY SHOW :Humor is an art. It is not easy to make some body laugh. Some people are gifted with this
talent. Stand up comedy is a competition for those talented people who can make others laugh. So if you have wit
or a taste for smart humor, make sure you're there!
• A prepared act in Hindi and/ or English is to be presented. No props are allowed.
• Judging criteria: Originality, Humor, content,wayof presentation,effectiveness&over all impact.

9. NUKKAD NATAK
Want to send a message through your acting? Inceptra gives you the chance to perform in front of enormous
floating crowd. Start that wave! Come do a street play and raise you voice against the theme “PRESSURE OF
PARENTS ON CHILDREN FOR CHOOSING A PARTICULAR CAREER PATH”. Participating teams are
free to deal with any particular social issue concerning the topic under this umbrella.
• Only acoustic and percussion instruments will be allowed.
• Props/costumes are to be brought by the participants.
• Any language including Hindi and English can be used.
• Plays will have to deal with the theme.
• Judging criteria: Originality, Creativity, substance, content, portrayal and Overall impact of the act.
Bonus marks for technical innovations like music, animation/stop motion, etc.

1. ENGLISH OLYMPIAD
Are you a bookworm? Do you have a way with words? Are you already a Spell Bee veteran? Or a novice looking
for some fun? Sharpen your pencils and get ready… This is a English Vocabulary competition which includes
various rounds from spell check, synonyms, antonyms, wordsworth (with one big word displayed and to derive
multiple smaller words from it), idioms (telling the english versions of the hindi sayings) and many more … The
participating teams will be onstage. There will be rapid-fire rounds to determine the winner.

2. SUDOKU CHAMPIONSHIP
Sudoku is a challenging number puzzle game designed for players of all ages. Basically your target is to fill all
blank cells with a number between 1 and 9. Every 3x3 block must contain each of these numbers once. The same
is required for rows and columns over 9 cells. Inceptra brings Sudoku championship, where total 20 sudoku of
medium difficulty level will be provided. Time limit of 1 hour will be given. Team who solves max.no.of Sudoku
will be declared winner. In case of tie, 1 sudoku will be given as tie breaker and faster team wins.

6. DEBATE – Hindi / English
The assortment of this event, ranges from the speaking events that bring forth the talents of the sharp minds and
smooth tongues, for the ever- inquisitive.
Hindi Debate – “ Badalne ki shamta hi buddhimatta ka map hai.”
English Debate –“Should humans eat to live or live to eat”.

8. QUIZZARD
Quizzard is a comprehensive (really long + indepth) General Knowledge test on everything and anything around
the world from Aaryabhata to Zenana, we've got Dhoom-Dhadaka, Cool Patakas, Rajinikanth, Rasgullas and
everything in between! Put on your thinking turbans & take part in this exhilarating journey across the warp and
weft of this beautiful ancient, dynamic, definition defying, enigmatic land. The quiz will include sports, religious
& history rounds as well. No. of participants: A team of 4.

11. JAM – A – MINUTE
Speaking from a piece of paper is as easy as ABC but speaking on any topic instantly is the sense of talent. To
show this taste of talent, we are here with JAM sessions. Grab this opportunity and bring out the best in you.
..young speakers!!
Participants will pick up a chit which will contain three diverse topics. Among the three topics, he/ she will
choose one topic. To collect food for thought/ ideas every participant will get two minutes. After that, speaker has
to speak continuously as long as his mind and tongue permits him to with as much fluency as she/ he can mutter.
Once a participant picks up a chit, he/ she will not be able to change it or talk to any member or use mobile
phones.
• Judging criteria: slutter, stumble, pause, slang, abbreviations, delayed start, choice of points, confidence,
pronunciation, grammar, choice of words, body language etc.

14. NEWS REPORT PRESENTATION
If writing for columns in newspaper was your dream then here’s the moment to write up for the events and show
your report presentation skills inside them. In this segment of competition, participants have to become the
reporters of JP Inceptra. Participants will be given time to roam around campus and get an idea on which theme
they want to prepare reports and also click the picture of that event. Additional time will be provided to pen down
their respective reports.
This competition has two segments one : writing and other is presentation/ reading.
• Participants can choose any event or number of events on which they want to make the reports and take a
picture of the happening.
• The report should not exceed 1000 words. Report can be written before hand or can be written on spot.
• The report and the picture should be completely original and should not be copied.
• Each team can contain a maximum of 5 members.
• The participating team will have to roam around the campus and should take live interview of students
regarding the events they choose. These have to be recorded through mobile cameras only.
• Language :Hindi / English .
• A team is allowed to submit only one report.
• The reports will be judged on the effectiveness of the presentation, way of writing, body language,
pronunciation, interviews, pictures collected, effectiveness and over all impact.
• The teams will be given a time of 5+3 minutes to read their campus news.
• Judges’ decision will be final.

2. MOCKTAIL MAKING
Within this collection of non-alcoholic drinks, you will find a variety of fun, flavoring recipes that are fun to
explore. These mocktails (mock cocktails) are perfect for families, serving to your non-alcoholic party guests, and
for enjoying yourself when you want a great drink without the booze. In this segment, mocktails can be prepared
using fun, fresh recipes including homemade soda, a variety of fruit punch mixes, and delicious smoothies.
No. of participants per college : a team of 2. Time allotted : 1 hour.
4. ON SPOT PHOTOGRAPHY
This is to show photography skills. In this competition the participants are given freedom to explore the entire
campus with number of events going around and capture pictures of various moments.
Participants: Open to all students. No editing of pictures is allowed.
5. MAD AD FADS
“You can’t bore people into buying your product. You can only interest them into buying it..”—David Ogilvy.
Going all out and acting retarded has never been so rewarding! Here you score high points for whacky & out-of-
the-box ideas. They can be anything – Baba Ramdev doing a jingle to advertise body lotion or Manmohan Singh
smiling even during corruption. So if you have wit or a taste for smart humour, make sure you're there! We, the
brand rovers of JP help you to create your own ads for totally fictional top products. Only two objectives need to
be met: the message needs to be clear and effective and the audience entertained and enthralled.
• The product to be advertised will be given on the spot with a preparatory time of around 10 minutes.
• Basic props will be provided. (3 chairs and 1 table). Other props are allowed.
• Languages including Hindi, Punjabi and English can be used.
• Caution should be exercised in refraining from displaying obscenity, violence etc.
• Judging criteria: originality, humor, portrayal of brand image, and overall impact.
No. of participants: maximum of 5 members Time on stage : 2 + 1 minute.

7. DUMMY CHAT MARKET
Are you tired of the daily hassles and fast life of your city....just running around the clock… long hours of
meetings and computer … This competition is for all the street food lovers.. here the participants have to create a
street scenario …a dummy market with all sort of possible street food….here in JP itself.
The participants will be provided with an empty classroom to change it into a market. Everything can be done
including selecting a theme or area, adding decorations, local dresses, all sort of street food from gol guppa to
muradabadi dal.. from chowmein to momos etc… Hot plates can be used. All the materials to be used are to be
brought by the participants. Pre prepared charts etc are allowed.
Participants : not more than 12 Time to prepare : 2 and ½ hours
8. COSPLAY
This is an age old competition…. In this competition, all the participants have to dress like famous inventors,
scientists or world leaders… the one whose costume, attitude and words matches the most wins!!!! A fancy
dress competition…. in simple words
• This competition is open for all….. all you need to do is submit your names before hand.
• Maximum of one minute will be given on stage to present yourself including speaking.
