Implementation of Feedback:
If I were to revise my podcast, I would use a different app to record it on. Marisol and I
used an app called Anchor and found many problems with this app once we finished it and tried
to submit it. We had a hard time submitting it in the first time so for the future I would use a
different app that work better. To fix this issue, Marisol and I took the podcast we made on the
one app and recorded it off of another app so that way we would be able to submit it. This
made the quality of the sound worse. Also, the app that we used wouldn’t allow us to add
music to the rest of the recording, so we had to sit in my car and record the music off of my car
speakers. This made the sound quality worse as well. By changing the app, it would make the
Another thing that I would do differently about our podcast is create a script for the
whole thing. Marisol and I only made a script for the important parts of the podcast and then
came up with the transition statements on the spot. We did this because we didn’t want the
podcast to sound boring and like we were reading the whole thing off. However, not having a
script for the whole thing made it more difficult on ourselves. We found ourselves having to
start over several times whenever we would mess up. After looking back at our podcast, we
realized that the parts that we read off of the script didn’t sound as bad as we thought it would.
Learning Reflection:
Before working on the peer feedback, I felt like this process was useless. I didn’t think it
was important because I knew the things that we needed to fix, and I thought the only thing
that the peer review process was going to do was tell me everything that I already know. After
looking back on the feedback, I learned that this was not the case. Selena gave use good
feedback that I wouldn’t have caught myself and I have learned many different ways we can
better improve our podcast next time. Throughout the revision of this podcast, I have learned
how important peer feedback is. Without having someone else check over my work, I would
not have noticed small but critical mistakes that were made.
Even though the anchor app that we used wasn’t the best one to use for this specific
project, it is still a great app to use to use for other things such as teaching. This app could be
useful for teachers to make an audio recording explaining how to complete assignments. This
could be used in special occasions when there is a blind student who can’t read instructions, or
it can be used for the whole class on assignments where it is easier to explain it verbally rather
Another way this app can be used in the classroom is in a foreign language class. Most
language classes have three parts of grading: writing, listening/understanding, and speaking.
This app would be great for the speaking aspect of it. Students could record themselves
