Summary:

The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren is inspired by many authors and teacher. A classical and
contemporary masterpiece, who had give meaning and shaped the life of Rick Warren that
helps him learn a lot of hidden truth. This book give you knowledge and understanding to life's
most important question. This book of Warren is based on a biblical model according
to him for taking forty days to develop new patterns for ministry, Rick
Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life is divided into forty chapters and give a
meaningful life experience and lesson for every chapter, one for each day of a
spiritual pilgrimage toward better understanding God’s purpose in the
reader’s life. That guides us what we ought to do as we live every single day of our life.
The first seven days are explained where as he had able to show that it is dedicated as
examining the purpose and meaning of life. To show how this insight
connected with many works and job that are focused on making people's
way of living feel better and more successful, Warren starts with an elaborated
statement that the purpose of life is much greater than any other personal
fulfillment, peace of mind, controlling things, happiness, or even sadness. Warren
sighted that the meaning and purpose of life are not only focused on the self or
anything that is personal but also from knowing and having relationship and faith to
the creator of life, namely God. This first seven-day segment of the book tell us
and emphasize to us the providence of God in creating people to enjoy God’s
fellowship forever through faith in Jesus Christ. Life on earth is
intended by God as a preparation for eternity, and also for us to our free will in
choosing the way of living it's either to live for serving God or not, and this process is
part of God’s purpose for each human being to be save.

And next, Warren introduced the second seven day segment where he express his own
viewpoint of the first purpose of life on earth. The second seven-day segment of the
book treats the first purpose of life where Warren has identified: People
are created for God’s pleasure and created also for Jesus
Christ's pleasure. People please God through

worship just like how Angels worship God and Jesus Christ right where before we had been
created. People worship through giving all the glory to God because God deserve all the
glory ang honor, people worship also through singing just like how Angels do sing in heaven
for thanksgiving to God, praising God for everything He had done for us,

praying to God knowing that He'll give us everything we need for everyday living such as
food, shelter, clothes and even lessons He share with us, and honoring God with trust
and adoration. Such worship involves thanksgiving to God as one individual
learns how to walk in an instructed path made by God so that we will not going to be lost to
the journey we take. God helps people to discover their gifts, talents, desire and
abilities so that we will use them for God’s glory.

Warren discussed the third seven day segment in the book, where we as individuals are made
for God's purpose to be a part of God's family and threat as an worth individuals for God's love.
God's family is the church, the real church which is stated in the bible not the church that is
made by man and invented by man where as the doctrines are also invented and not stated in
the bible. The Bible is the most powerful book ever written, it is also the most important book
in the world because it has the complete timeline of the history, starting on how the universe
was created and the Bible also stated on what will happen to the future life of man such as the
revelation of John where there's a lot of things that will happen and it was demonstrated by
John where it was supported by the late apostles such as Timothy and Paul. God is Love and
Justice, He created the church where Jesus Christ is the head and the body is Us, Christians. God
can gather all of his people through church. But that doesn't mean that outside the church God
don't have people, it's just a meanwhile situation where people outside the church don't hear
any real Gospel and Doctrines of God.

Those people who accept, believe, have faith, trust, and obey the commandment of the
Son, Jesus Christ, become part members of the family of God, although we
are all members in the church of God but the only problem that makes us separated is the sin.
Meanwhile, a person that is lost and doing sins is consider as out of the church, but there is a
100% possibility that the person will change and repent and will be back to the Church of God.
A Christian who's learning to be a part as a member of this church on
earth is central to life and a vital preparation for eternity with God in
the kingdom of God in heaven.

The fourth seven day segment of the book represents the third purpose: People are created to
follow the commandment of God and to take part of Jesus Christ endurance and suffering and
also to take part of all the burdens Jesus is carrying. The bible explains that people here on
earth are made in the image or likeness of God, meaning that they are spiritual beings designed
to live for eternity; furthermore, they are intellectual, relational, and have a moral conscience.
Because people are sinners but not bad at all, maybe they make mistakes or sins just because
they don't realize what they are doing, they are not bad at all and you're a bad person if you
accused him as a bad person. There's always hope for people who are lost in a midst of dark sky
and at chaos. We should not judge people according to what we see in them, we should treat
people fairly among all. The problem in this world why we don't have peace at all it is because
the justice is missing, it's because people judge easily on what they see, on what they hear,
people don't explore what's inside a man's heart. Maybe he create mistake but maybe it's not
also his intention to make such mistake. People need the redemptive work of Christ to change
their warped image into a holy one that reflects God’s righteous character. Being part of the
true church that is written in the bible and founded by Jesus Christ is a very satisfying purpose
among all purposes because it is the reason why people are made by God, the reason where
people is obliged to serve God and no other gods or angels or people not even the apostles or
the saints made by the hands of man in a stone or woods. The servants of God who are
patterned after the
perfectly obedient Son of God, Jesus Christ, is the most luckiest
people here on earth for achieving the main purpose of God and tge reason why we exist here
on earth. The focus of this book is to develope the good character that is in accordance to what
Jesus had commanded to us. To become one of the good servant of Jesus Christ, every
individual must be transformed by the truth of Scripture, the trials of life, and the
challenges of overcoming temptations. Such spiritual growth requires obedience and time.
Moral Lesson:
Life has been a long journey but within these times we weren't aware of the real purpose why
we exist. We've been into many thoughts and questions unanswered. Yet we never reach the
edge of what we really wanted to know. Knowing our purpose will have a great impact on our
lives. On how we should deal every day's trial, how we should deal with everything surrounding
us. Everything should start from God before we start with ourselves. We were put here on
earth not to be remembered but to be prepared for eternity. We should focus on our goal and
live our life together with it. We must cherish our life to the fullest but simplest, that though we
were made to last forever.. still this life, is only the preparation for the next. We must not do
things people want us to do or expects us to do, but what God wants us to do and thats our
purpose. We should see life more than how we perceive it. We should know what really our
purpose is. Life is meaningless when a person don't know what's his purpose on existence here
on earth. The cycle of life goes this way... A newborn child, grow up and at ten study knowing
that his purpose is going to school and to learn lesson for his subjects. And during high school
he merely realize and know the difference between morally right and morally wrong but
generally the average person is doing things he already knows that is wrong but they are still
doing it. And when a person goes to college at last they only realize the consequences of what
they are doing. And after college, they goes to work and married and create a family, get old
and then die. See? That's the cycle of life. But our view of life will change if we'll know our
purpose here on earth. Our life as a temporary temple of

our soul faces a lot of hardships on it's way but at the end, no matter how we try to win.. all of
this will vanish. And the most important thing..is what did we do within the life span we had.
Because we were put into this, for the better next. We must not
place so much importance on things that are temporary. And we must not be afraid of
the things we might leave here because this was not our home from the
very first place.

Happiness begins from the moment you do something for others. Those
who consistently help others, are happy, and do not come across any
obstacles in their lives. Research indicates that they are less stressed
and experience improved mental health.
The purpose of life is to serve others. However, when doing so, you should
not expect something in return; your intention should be to lessen other
people’s misery. “Service to others should be sincere and done from the
heart; only then it is fruitful.” Do any trees eat their own fruit? No. This
teaches us that human beings should not only use their mind, body and
speech for themselves, but also to serve others. When you do this,
nature in turn will reward you. Your constant inner intent should be
towards helping others. If you are unable to do so for any reason, you
can also make sure that you do not hurt anyone. This is an indirect way
to help those around you. However, eternal happiness can only be attained through
Self-Realization. Most people never stop to consider their real purpose in life. In fact, most
assume there is no real purpose. How about you? Is there any transcendent reason for you to
be alive? Can you have a remarkably interesting and fulfilling destiny ahead of you, regardless
of your present situation? Can you be 100 percent sure of a future rendezvous with happiness,
joy and peace?

Or, are you living a fleeting, disappointing existence on planet Earth with no more purpose for
your life than the birds, the bees or, for that matter, the worms that crawl in the dirt? As a
human being, you obviously have much higher intelligence than these creatures; you can
visualize the future; you have hopes and dreams; and creative imagination far beyond any
other form of physical life on this earth. Yet do all these
gifts, potentials and dreams rot when you die and "dust returns
to dust"?

This truly is worth considering. You should think about it! Sure, some religious people may feel
they will be wafted off to heaven to sit around for all eternity with nothing to do except "roll
around heaven" all day, as the song goes.

But all of this are just minor reason or just an additional purpose why we live here on earth. The
real truth of the matter has been revealed in the Creator's instruction manual for humanity, the
Holy Bible. In the Bible, God decrees the fate of nations and empires. He prophesies of world-
shaking, future events that are to happen. And these prophecies are unfolding before the eyes
of this generation!

However, in a more quiet yet profound way, your Creator also reveals the ultimate destiny of
mankind—the real purpose for your life and my life. In a number of places, it is called the
"mystery" of God. Indeed, it is a mystery to the vast majority of people—even to most of the
supposed "Christian" world. For it goes far beyond what most humans have ever visualized or
imagined. Yet it is so obvious, so simple, so powerful in its logic that you may wonder why you
did not understand it all along. First, let us understand the root cause of our problems that
makes our life miserable. We are entrapped in this material world from time immemorial and
the happiness we pursue here is temporary and illusory. In the pursuit of such happiness, we
engage in various activities, pious and sinful, that binds us more and more in this material
world.

Our miseries are due to the sinful reactions and when we follow these three principles, all the
material contaminations and sins are washed away; consequently, we are reestablished in our
real constitutional position of unlimited bliss and happiness.

This book made me realize something important among all. The importance of the
commandment of the Lord God through his son Jesus Christ for
us to attain the prepared life and kingdom in heaven and also for us while living here on earth
to treat people equally and do not discriminate other people. For them, the church's primary
objective, as commanded by Jesus Christ, is to propagate the gospel unto all nations until the
consummation of the ages, convert sinners to believe and glorify God and to make them qualify
for the eternal life in heaven.

God has a way for us to be brought back to Him, because even the person who is doing evil
things and even if he is the most evil person in this world God had give a chance and a way in
the bible for him to convert into God. We can read it in Acts 26:18 as it says that “To open their
eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that
they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among
those who are sanctified by faith in me.” See? The only thing for a man to be converted into
God is to open his eyes for them to get back into light from darkness, from the power of satan
into God. Therefore, any person that is under the power of satan can be delivered and brought
to God through the process that Saint Paul had given to us in the bible. Why is it that the person
needs to open his eyes? Let's read 2 Corinthians 4:4 “In their case the god of this world has
blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the
glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Satan that is being called as god of this earth, is
making fun of getting blinded in minds those people who are unbelievers. So that, when you
get blind, you won't be able to see the light, you are now helpless. That's the way of demons so
that we were not be able to see light he is doing everything he can do for us to be blinded by
minds. Saint Paul said that the god of this earth, satan is getting us to be blinded not literally
the eyes we use in seeing material things but the eyes that is in the mind. But there's hope for a
person to open his eyes to brought to God.

And according to someone life has meaning, the meaning of life is to pertains to the
significance of living or existence in general. Many other related
questions include: "Why are we here?", "What is life all about?", or "What is the purpose of
existence?" There have been a large number of proposed answers to these questions from
many different
cultural and ideological backgrounds. The search for life's meaning has produced much
philosophical, scientific, theological, and metaphysical speculation throughout history. Different
people and cultures believe different things for the answer to this question.

The meaning of life as we perceive it is derived from philosophical and religious contemplation
of, and scientific inquiries about existence, social ties, consciousness, and happiness. Many
other issues are also involved, such as symbolic meaning, ontology, value, purpose, ethics, good
and evil, free will, the existence of one or multiple gods, conceptions of God, the soul, and the
afterlife. Scientific contributions focus primarily on describing related empirical facts about the
universe, exploring the context and parameters concerning the "how" of life. Science also
studies and can provide recommendations for the pursuit of well-being and a related
conception of morality. An alternative, humanistic approach poses the question.

We may have several ideas to explain how we got here, however I believe the more important
question to reflect upon is why are we here? Through self-introspection I have realized the
most essential reason for our existence is for us to grow and flourish. Throughout my past
experiences I have noticed situations and people have entered my life that have facilitated my
growth. Life has been good and challenging, but over time I have learned that the challenges
have been an usher to push me beyond my safety zone. The trials are placed to allow us to
expand, to leave behind the less evolved and embrace the innovation in us. Thus, if we
approach life with such zeal, we notice that we are able to break our old habits and clasp a
more progressive self. I don’t believe my purpose on this earth is to play the role of a doctor,
engineer, a son, husband, a daughter, a wife, a sister, or a friend, albeit I enjoy playing these
roles. Ultimately, my only purpose
is to self-evolve, to continuously reflect, and improve upon the
old me. God wants to use you to make a difference in his world. He wants to work through you.
What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it. Not how long you lived, but
how you
lived. God gave us life for us to spend in service to Him, with our entire being and faculties.”

Remember the promise of our Lord Jesus Christ which is written in the Book of John, Joh 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. Joh 14:2 In my Father’s
house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

(Luke 10:27) And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with
all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
It is not accident that we are existing here on earth. It is also said in the book that we were
shaped for serving God. It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives
from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping
others. At the end of your life on earth you will stand before God, and he is going to evaluate
how well you served others with your life. You are going to give your life for something. What
will it be—a career, a sport, a hobby, fame, wealth? None of these will have lasting significance.
Service is the pathway to real significance. It is through ministry that we discover the meaning
of our lives. God formed every creature on this planet with a special area of expertise. God
never wastes anything. He would not give you abilities, interests, talents, gifts, personality, and
life experiences unless he intended to use them for his glory. God gives every believer spiritual
gifts to be used in ministry. These are special God-empowered abilities for serving him that are
given only to believers.
John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that
came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Dictionary defines
assumption as the taking up of a person into heaven while ascension is the act of rising or
ascending; the act of moving to a higher or more powerful position. God designed each of us so
there would be no duplication in the world. No one has the exact same mix of factors that make
you unique. Your abilities are the natural talents you were born with. Some people have a
natural ability with words: They came out of the womb talking! Other people have natural
athletic abilities, excelling in physical coordination. Still others are good at mathematics or
music or mechanics. Know your purpose and claim your reward.
