Objective 1 – Instructional material highlighting mastery of the

content and its integration in other subject areas.

Activity: Travel around the World

The teacher will present and shows the map of the world and choose countries. The students
must tell something about the country in terms of their culture, the way or forms of society
and political structure.

After the activity the students will analyze their answers and compare it to the Philippines
settings. They will answer the following questions: 1. Is there differences and similarities in
terms of culture, society and politics? 2. Why do we need to understand these differences?
Processing of answers shall follow.
Objective 2 – Instructional material highlighting learner-
centered strategies that promote literacy and/or numeracy
skills.

Activity: Election Day

The teacher will post list of senatorial candidates and will let the students choose and vote for
2 minutes. Somebody will count the total number of votes and explain why and why not
he/she vote that candidates.
Objective 3 – Instructional material highlighting different
teaching strategies that develop critical and creative thinking
and/or other HOTS.

Activity: Fill me OUT!

The students will answer the diagram below about their culture, society and politics in their
place of origin.

After the students answer the diagram they will show it to the class and observe other’s
answer. Why do I need to understand other’s culture? The students will share the benefits of
this understanding,
Objective 1 – Performance Tasks highlighting integration of
content knowledge within and across subject areas.

The students will be group and fill the boxes based on their understanding of the Philippines
History.

Each group will discuss it in the class in the framework time of 5 minutes each.
