Republic at War Installation and

Launching Guide v1.2


For Republic at War 1.2 there will be four different options to install the mod.

1. Installation via the Republic at War Launcher (recommended)


2. Installation via the Republic at War Installer
3. Drag and Drop Installation from a .zip file
4. Installation via Steam Workshop

1. Republic at War Launcher Installation


Using the RaW Launcher is the recommended installation method. You will be able to
update your existing 1.1.5 installation or install the mod from scratch. Updating from
1.1.5 to 1.2 should be the fastest method of all. These methods apply the same for disc,
GoG, and Steam users.

1. Copy "RaW Launcher.exe" into your Forces of Corruption root directory.


(e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption)
2. Start "RaW Launcher.exe" as administrator. You should get a message
telling you a new Version is RaW is available.
3. Navigate to "Update" in the tab bar.
4. Check "None" and press the update button1.
5. Wait till the update is applied2.
2. Republic at War Installer Installation
1 If you already have installed a custom language pack you might want to check "Ignore Voice" instead.
If you have a Steam installation of Forces of Corruption, we highly recommend using
the Launcher or the Steam Workshop installation.

1. Copy "RaW Uninstaller.exe" to your Forces of Corruption root directory


(e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption)
2. Uninstall previous installations of Republic at War by running the
application "RaW Uninstaller.exe" as administrator.
3. Run "Republic at War 1.2.exe"3.
4. Follow the instructions of the installer.
5. You may now delete "RaW Uninstaller.exe"

3. Drag and Drop Installation:


If you have a Steam installation of Forces of Corruption, we highly recommend using
the Launcher or the Steam Workshop installation.

1. Copy "RaW Uninstaller.exe" to your Forces of Corruption root directory


(e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption)
2. Uninstall previous installations of Republic at War by running the
application "RaW Uninstaller.exe" as administrator.
3. Copy "Mods" from the .zip file into your Forces of Corruption directory.
4. Copy "RaW Launcher.exe" to Forces of Corruption root directory.
5. Create a shortcut of "RaW Launcher.exe" and place it to your desktop.
6. You may now delete "RaW Uninstaller.exe"

4. Steam Workshop Installation:


1. Open the Steam Desktop application.
2. Open your game library and right click "Empire at War: Gold Pack".
3. Click "View Community Hub".
4. Click the tap "Workshop" and search for "Republic at War".
5. Select the "Republic at War" page
6. Subscribe to Republic at War by clicking the green button.
7. Wait until the download of Republic at War has completed.

2 If your download fails, you can simply re-click the update button. The update progress will continue
normally.

3 You need 5GB of free space on the disk you are starting the installer, even if your installation target is
on a different partition.
Launching Republic at War:
To make your AI is working correctly we highly recommend starting Republic at War only
with our Launcher.

1. Start "RaW Launcher.exe" as administrator either from your Forces of


Corruption root directory or click the shortcut on the desktop.
a. If you have NVIDIA Optimus Technology installed, please choose
the graphics card you want to use for playing Republic at War when
starting the launcher.
2. Press the play button.

Important: If you are about to run Republic at War for the first time AND your system
language is different than English, you need to change the mod's language. To do this,
open the Launcher, navigate to "Language", and choose your system language. Then,
press the button "Change Language".
