I. INTRODUCTION

Crew of Ship (ABK) is a person who works or is employed aboard by ship owner or
operator to perform duty on board according to his position. In determining the
number of crew should be as efficient as possible, because this affects the size of the
room and the limited amount of supplies of food and fresh water. Factors affecting are
the type of ship, the vessel, the number of jobs served by the crew, the shipping route,
the existing automation system on the ship, and the regulations of the country
concerned.

II. CREW DUTIES

Based on document no 2, the number of crew is 19 people. Here is the detail of

responsibility of each crew, were based on KM 70 of 1998 :

Give the command and take full responsibility on board
Choose the ship crew and the equipment that needed on
1 Captain ship
Organize the ship when the ship is sailing
Navigate the ship based on the agreed path
Replaces the captain's position if necessary
Responsible for taking the necessary action on the
command of captain
Responsible for hygiene, sanitation, conditioning and safety
forms on board
Chief Officer
2 Responsible for hull maintenance, equipment, fire
(Mualim I)
extinguisher, and discipline of ship crew
Compile and coordinate from every part of the work on
board
Know all parts of the ship
Control damage to the ship or during an emergency
