1. Introduction:
Stock management system is a web based application .The main objective of this project
is to manage a stock for a company or organisation, and take care of sales and
purchase products. This application will makes us able to keep the records of sales
and purchase of products. “Stock management system” helps us to keep the record
of billing,purchase and stock managing etc. The main aim of this system is to manage
the entire stock details of stock system in an automated way.
This document specifies the details about objectives,purposes,scope,requirement
Usecase diagrams and open issues.
1.1 purpose:
The key purpose of stock management is the practice of ordering ,storing ,tracking the
data related to stock .In some stores where stock may spoil while sitting in the store
,the updation of stocks can’t be done due to some technical issues ,some products
may expire that the owner don’t know this may leads to spoil of stock .The owner
faces a severe loss in money because to these.
This project will decrease the stock managing problems which we mentioned above.

2. System description:
The stock maintenance system is an online system .This system provides available Stock
products details for the owner.

This system provides automated functionalities like stock updating ,product listing,
caluculating the total stocks and maintaining expiry of product details etc.

4. External interface requirements:

The system uses GUI-Graphical user interface for easy interaction with owner .The
System maintains a Database sequentially.
4.1 User Interfaces:
The Inteface should be very attractive featuring of our system.The Introductory screen
consists of a welcome note and product advertisement.The next screen is user login
screen.The next interface displays the product details under different and the subsequent
screens contain the details of each and every product and finally provided with
provisions.The final screen displays salutations to the customer by displaying Thank You.At
the same time the stock details are updated.

There will be proper security mainly for data accessibility .Security to user can be
provided by logins .The data stored in database should be kept private and only
known to the administrator.

The system has the capability of maintaining itself. Everything is optimized time to
time for good performance.

The efficiency with the system makes the user satisfactory .High usability means a
system is easy to learn and quick to recover from errors.

It doesn’t support multiple languages.

The system must be available at an affordable rate .Also must be provided with
proper license.
