Executive Overview:

Airbnb is a technology company that has created a platform for house owners and short

term renters to connect. Airbnb has asked Amazon Web Services (AWS) to migrate all of their

cloud computing systems over to AWS. Airbnb was attracted to the scalability feature of having

AWS host their cloud systems. In addition to the cloud computing, Airbnb has also implemented

Amazon storage services, Amazon Cloud Monitoring services, and Amazons relational database

service. A quick transition from legacy systems to new Amazon systems was imperative for

Airbnb so they could minimize downtime.Airbnb needs a system that can grow as fast as their

company and AWS is their solution.
