you work with this organization?
1. Active Minds - This NPO stimulates students to find mental health
treatment and also create awareness of mental health issues. Our
NPO can work with this group by connecting with them so that they
can tell the audience they speak to about our work in hopes that the
students seek mental health treatment from our program.
2. To Write Love on Her Arms - This group seeks to find help for
those with issues involving depression, self-harm, addiction, and
suicide. Similarly to Active Minds, we can work with this group
directly by being the help these people seek. After engaging with
TWLOHA, the NPO can send them to our group for treatment.
Audience:
The intended audience of our nonprofit organization is those with mental
health disorders(i.e. anxiety, depression, eating disorders etc.), as well as
loved ones of those with mental health issues. Secondary needs provided
include providing basic life skill knowledge (i.e. Finances, effective
communication, resume building, etc.), offering physical and spiritual
guidance, and promoting mental health understanding. It is likely the
audience will be low-income as we are offering discounted mental health
services. These people can be of all ages, races, sexual orientations, and
genders. About 1 in 4 people in the world will be qualified for the program,
as this many people will have mental health issues at some point in their
lifetime.
Needs and Desires:
The group needs mental health treatment, medication distribution, group and
individual counseling, rehabilitation, basic life skills training, spiritual assistance and/or
financial literacy improvements.

Plan to meet needs/desires:
To meet these needs and desires, our program will offer free and or low-cost individual
counseling and group sessions to those with mental health issues. Our program will
also provide classes on finances, basic repairs, job/interview tactics, marriage/family,
and insurance. Beyond our in-house services, which will serve to meet the mental
needs of our clients, our organization will also partner with other local nonprofits and
businesses who we can refer them to meet the physical and spiritual needs of clients
(i.e. yoga classes, hobby groups, etc.).
