 Welcome to the 2019 English Language and National Reading Month

Celebration!!! November indeed is a much awaited month for our English

language enthusiasts and book lovers as we are gathered to show our

advocacy towards the importance of reading. It has been said that reading is

fundamental to functioning in today's society and Charles Elio states that

‘Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most

accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. Hence,

reading a book does not only gives us learning but also enhances our patient,

creativity and mental health.

 Once again, let us all welcome with a warm round of applause our beloved

School Principal, Mrs. Gloria Licas for her opening remarks.

 Thank you Sir/Mam for that meaningful and welcoming message. As said,

this month’s celebration theme focuses on the importance of reading in the

lifelong learning process.

 At this juncture, may I call Mr. Melvin Abanador for the Presentation of

Judges and Reading of Contest Criteria.

 Thank you Sir, and now let us proceed to the contest proper for the Best in

Costume

 Before we progress to the Story Reading Competition, let us first witness an

intermission number from selected students of____________________.

 Let us hear and witness the contestants of our Reading Competition from

the Grade 7 to Grade 9.

 Again let us witness another intermission number from selected students of

 Now, we have come to the final stage of this competition. The results are

already in my hands. But before that, i would like to invite

___________________________hand over the prizes to the winners. But

before we announce the results, we would like to acknowledge the

importance of the judges who came by and adjudicate with wisdom to pick

the winners for today’s competition. Therefore, the organizing committee

would like to give away certificates as our appreciation. Please give

applause to our first judge Mam Daclan who also act as a chief judge for

today’s competition. Next, I would like to invite Mam San Juan as the

second judge to come to the stage. And last but not least, the third judge

for today’s competition Mr. Barral Without their commitments and wise

decisions we would not get the winner for today’s competition.
