TO: ALL STAFF Attention: GRIDCo Management (Director, HR & Services) SIT DOWN STRIKE Following the press conference held by the leadership of the staff groups on November 21, 2019, we indicated that the following industrial actions would be taken if no response to our petition is received: 1: Hoisting of RED flags at all GRIDCo locations and wearing of RED armed bands. 2: Withdrawal of emergency services outside the normal working hours including weekends. 3: Demonstration and submission of petition to the Minister of Finance and Managing Director of ECG. 4: Declaration of Sit Down Strike after December 10, 2019 following non- response by GRIDCo Management and the Institutions petitioned. Therefore, having revised our initial date of the sit down strike from December 4 to 10% of 2019 in anticipation of immediate response by GRIDCo Management and the Institutions petitioned, which NEVER materialized, we finally declare from Wednesday, December 11, 2019 the SIT DOWN STRIKE until further notice.
