Media Release

Re: Additional Information on Burglary Suspect

Additional information has been discovered on the Burglary/ Public Lewdness suspect
that unlawfully entered Auburn High School and exposed himself to a student on
November 4, 2010. Information was relayed to the Auburn Police Department from
Marcellus Police Department that the same suspect unlawfully entered Driver Middle
School in Marcellus at approximately 5:30pm on the same date as the incidents in
Auburn. The suspect was confronted by maintenance staff at the school and left the area.
Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department was called to the school but was unable to locate
the suspect. Additional still images of the white male suspect are being released from
video footage at Driver Middle School. The suspect removes his dark gray hooded
sweatshirt while in the school to reveal a lighter colored sweatshirt with a unique design
on the front. An additional still image from Auburn High School of the suspect vehicle is
also being released.

The suspect is covering his face in most of the still images to conceal his identity but
officers are working on a few leads called in since our initial media release and believe
the release of this additional information could result in further leads from the public.

The Auburn Police Department and Auburn School District are working cooperatively
with the Marcellus Police Department and Marcellus School District to identify this
individual. If anyone has information regarding this investigation or the identity of the
suspect please contact Marcellus Police Department Officer John Scanlon at 315-673-
2079, Marcellus School District at 315-673-6200, or any of the previously identified
members of the Auburn Police Department. Your calls can remain anonymous. Refer to
the Auburn Police Department website for video clips of the suspect within Driver
Middle School at the following link:
