Core Role Description:


Lead and direct the IT Application Services, Support & Delivery function covering all the business applications landscape.
These include the Core Banking & Product systems, Alternate Channels & Gateway Systems, Payment Systems, Treasury
System, Trade Finance and Brokerage systems; as well as the Enterprise & Reference Systems covering Compliance, Risk,
Scoring, Reporting and ERP systems.

Manage and schedule the day to day maintenance and routine housekeeping of multiple applications, including
managing the complete life cycle of various application issues, within agreed SLAs and communication /
expectation management with the Business Stakeholders.

Monitoring applications to ensure uptimes as per the Business Impact Analysis as well as supporting the change
initiatives through the change management life cycle which covers testing and deployment.

Develop and implement a Data Management framework / Model through a centralized data warehouse to
support the overall reporting and MIS requirements of the business.

Interact with various other IT functions, project management office and business units, as well as other internal
and external stakeholders including business, support and control units, in addition to suppliers, auditors and
regulators.

Effectively maintain a balanced department in terms of Financial, Strategic, Customer Care, Operational, as
well as an Organizational wellbeing perspectives.

Serve as Acting Head of IT, to manage all areas of IT domain, during absence of the CIO.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Activities:
- Lead and direct the development and management of the bank’s business applications and related services,
helping ensure the work is completed in line with budget and customer expectations.
- Lead and direct the maintenance and schedule of activities in relation to application systems patch and
configuration management to help ensure the stability of applications.

- Lead and direct the delivery of application automation – across deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
to reduce human involvement in application management.
- Participate and review the necessary activities to support the business in Business Continuity Management and Disaster
Recovery practices, Operational Risk, Information Security.
Business Relationship Management:
- Prioritize issues and manage business stakeholder expectations through effective communication.
- Lead and manage the development of controls to monitor, review and manage the identification of customer
needs and help ensures that the services provided meet the needs of the business.
- Develop, manage and maintain effective working relationships with wider IT teams and business
stakeholders for efficient systems support.
Continual Service Improvement:
- Manage, schedule and review risks and mitigation activities to help enhance internal controls.
- Review, maintain/enhance operational manuals / system documentation in area of responsibility.
- Lead, manage and schedule activities to address identified audit and risk related observations.
Initiatives:
- Manage, schedule, review and provide the required support to ongoing projects and assist the successful
completion of allocated tasks within the specified timelines.
- Execute new projects related to IT with core responsibility on core banking and allied systems.
Management (Team):
- Manage, verify and provide work direction to team members on designated projects or assignments.
- Lead departmental activities and mange business unit heads to deliver customer requirements.
Service Support:
- Lead management activities to ensure reviews are correctly scheduled and conducted, for IT support
capabilities for resolution of incidents, queries and requests from various departments and business units.
Vendor (Management):
- Manage, monitor and review vendor activities on and off site to help ensure levels of service are
maintained.
- Manage, review and approve activities for engagement with vendors, helping to ensure the business obtains
the expected value from these partnerships.
Training, Coaching & Mentoring:
- Mentor, coach and provide training to internal and external teams to help ensure they are competent in the
utilization of products and services IT delivers to the business.

- Attend training and awareness sessions, sharing gained knowledge and positively contributing to IT

My Role as Project Delivery Head – TEMENOS T24 (R14) Upgrade April 2015 – Feb 2016
- Lead discussions with TEMENOS and upgrade partners for partner shortlisting and request for proposals.
- Review proposals and partner upgrade methodologies.
- Involved in the decision making process for selection of implementation partner.
- Manage the setup of project governance structure, project office and project teams (technical, business and
business as usual streams).
- Lead discussions with business depts. for high level assessment of business requirements.
- Study technology enhancements in latest T24 release and to decide additional components required.
- Lead the project steering committee which includes the senior management, project managers, and senior
members of business streams.
- Monitor high level project plan and deliverables with internal review meetings implementation partner.
- Lead bi-weekly meetings with business streams, to gather progress and follow-up on tasks assigned, i.e.,
test cases/scenarios documentation.
- Lead planning and execution activities of mock runs in build-up to live cutover.
- Plan and execute live cut-over activities in collaboration with T24 technical and business support teams.
