Anxiety towards Confidence

The people stayed there watching. As for the leaders, they jeered at him with the words, 'He
saved others, let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One. 'The soldiers
mocked him too, coming up to him, offering him vinegar, and saying, 'If you are the king of
the Jews, save yourself.' Above him there was an inscription: 'This is the King of the Jews'.
One of the criminals hanging there abused him: 'Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us
as well.' But the other spoke up and rebuked him. 'Have you no fear of God at all?' he said.
'You got the same sentence as he did, but in our case we deserved it: we are paying for what
we did. But this man has done nothing wrong.' Then he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you
come into your kingdom.' He answered him, 'In truth I tell you, today you will be with me in
paradise - Luke 23:35-43

A week started by this verse heard during the mass last Sunday, November 24, 2019 in
celebration of Christ the king. A promise that should be live in for believing, offering your life
to Christ for He will not forsake His children as long as he/she come to him without hesitation
and with your heart. However, as we journey this life we meet lots of circumstances, hardships
but just keep believing and trusting your life to Him that everything happens for a reason.
Living this world with lots of judgements, liars and even pretending to be your friend, the
anxiety arises. This comes in any form and even can lead to depression. The trainings/seminar
on Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) to be conducted was scheduled for the week.
The load to carry was not heavy as expected when you have comrades for the preparations,
during and even after the event. Nevertheless, anxiety still arise during the conduct but you just
need to trust that everything will flow smoothly and all your best are given. And you knew
when you are doing something for the people and for the greater good of the people and the
environment. It builds your confidence, there’s verse in Proverbs 3:5-6 saying that “trust in the
LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”. You just to believe and trust to the Lord and
leave your anxiety behind.

Prayer Request:

To those who are feeling alone and abandoned may they find the love of God through their
family, friends and even strangers.
To those who are losing hope and anxiety may they see the light and peace of mind through
God.
