headaches, increased fatigue, itching and nausea. To avoid health problems, farmers

requirements, namely:
1) The weight of the personal protective equipment should not cause excessive
discomfort.
2) Tools must be able to be used flexibly. Tools can be used when needed

4) Personal protective equipment does not pose a danger to its users.
 For the second material, the requirements for personal protective equipment that
must be followed by farmers in applying pesticides, namely:
1. The personal protective equipment must be made of materials that fulfill the
technical criteria for pesticide protection.
2. Every personal protective equipment before used, must be clean and not
damaged.
3. The type of equipment used must be at least in accordance with the safety
instructions contained on the label / pesticide brochure.
4. After each use of personal protective equipment must be washed and stored in a
special place.

1. Head protection gear
To prevent the entry of toxins through the scalp, a head covering hat is required
with a material which is impermeable to liquid and not made of cloth or skin and
can protect parts of the head (nape, mouth, eyes, and face)
2. Protective clothing
To protect the body from exposure to pesticides, we must use protective clothing
consisting of:
1) Long sleeve shirt
Long-sleeved clothes should not have too many folds, if necessary no
pockets are placed on the front and the neck collar must be tied or at least
cover the neck.
2) Long pants
Long pants must not have folds, because the folds will function as a
gathering place for particles from pesticides.
3) Overalls
It is a clothing with a long hand model and covers the whole body, practical
and more special.
3. PPE hands : using gloves must be long so that it covers the wrist
4. PPE feet : use boots because they can withstand leaks from pesticides.
