1. Product Concept
In August 2015, Konica Minolta is going to start renewing the current A3 colour portfolio by replacing the current
Zeus MLK devices with six new premium devices in total.
The starting point of this renewal will be the launch of bizhub C308 and bizhub C368 as successor models for
bizhub C284e and bizhub C364e in August 2015. The next launches will follow in January 2016 (Zeus S 2.5) and
August 2016 (Zeus S Z/X/0).
As premium models, the focus of the devices is to offer premium functionality, productivity and high focus on quality
for engine and output, as already well-known from Konica Minolta’s Zeus MLK devices. Thus, this range answers
all the needs of demanding customers in GMA and MA business.
The main targets for this product line-up are mainly MIF related:
Maintaining current MIF including GMA/MA
Take over competitor’s MIF
Pure new customers might be few.
Zeus S Z/X/0 (45/55/65 ppm): Launch in August 2016 This document will be updated in 2016.
All Zeus S models will be equipped with a new designed 9 inch multi-touch display (static). To answer the
rapidly increasing customer demand for mobile printing solutions in office environments, an intuitive mobile
touch-area has been developed to provide intuitive and easier to use operation panel. Thus, iOS as well as
Android devices can be used like for touch-to-print, touch-to-scanning, touch-to-authentication, touch-to-
WiFi pairing.
The mobile touch-area offers NFC for Android devices.
User will be able to register features such as “copy”, “scan” or “fax” to the soft & hard menu key. The
setting is available in the admin setting.

(*1) : Field Standard yield
Note:
Standard paper weight is 80 g/m2 for monochrome machines and 90 g/m² for full color machines. Since using
these standards result in optimum system performance, all specifications on performance, reliability, maintenance
and replacement based on those standard papers. Using thick papers, labels, transfer and polyester films
continuously can increase the wear and tear on replacement parts and consumables - meaning your servicing
costs will go up. Use the bypass or the lower tray from the paper feed unit when working with materials having such
characteristics as polyester films, textile transfer films and labels. Otherwise, you may be faced with double feeding
or a higher number of feeding jams. If possible use sub tray when working with materials having such
characteristics as polyester films, textile transfer films and labels. Roller marks on the copy or print may appear or
increased jams can occur. Standard paper weights yield the best possible copy and print results. Using higher
gram matures may influence the quality of the output. Using standard paper weights also guarantees that double
sided copies and prints are made reliably. Different characters of films as well as thick, thin and coated papers may
increase the jam rate for double sided copies and prints.
