Lesson Plan in English VI

I. OBJECTIVES
 Identify basic sentence patterns.
 Differentiate subject and verb.
 Value the significance of basic sentence patterns in group.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


 Topic: Basic Sentence Pattern
 References: English Textbook
 Materials: Im’s, Pictures, cartolina & bond paper

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminaries
 Prayer
 Greetings
 Checking the Attendance
 Passing of assignments

Review: What is sentence?

Motivation: Present pictures relating to animal and trees. Students must give opinion,
views and comments about the picture.

B. Lesson Proper

Presentation

 The teacher will read certain passages.

A. Activity: NOW I KNOW!


 The teacher will present sentences relating to science and values
containing subject and verb.

B. Analysis
1. How do you call a person or thing that is being deal in a sentence?
2. How do you call a word or words that expresses an action?
3. How do you call a group of words that expresses a statement, question
or comment?
C. Abstraction
1. What is subject?
2. What is verb?
3. What is sentence?

D. Application: Contrast Me!


 Students must be group into four groups. They will be given a bond paper
containing sentences that has subject and verb. Every group should choose
a leader and secretary. There would be a rubric to be followed in groupings.
IV. Evaluation

DIRECTION: Identify the subject and verb in the given sentences. Encircle the best
answer.

1. Anna eats the banana.


2. They work hard.
3. She takes advantage.
4. She is respectful.
5. We are generous.

V. Assignment

Make atleast five sentences that has subject and verb.
