Betsy yells “Ahhh! There’s a monster in the house!”. Andy, Betsy’s little brother,
takes Betsy’s doll. Betsy takes the doll back, then she hugs and kisses the doll.

school bus. Rachel grabs the bus and says “My bus”. Betsy sits down and looks at
Rachel. Betsy grabs a different bus and a doll off of the toy shelf. Betsy puts her
doll in the bus and starts pushing it across the floor. Beth starts crying. Betsy
stops and asks “What’s wrong?”. Beth says “Rachel took my bus”. Betsy looks at
Rachel. Rachel walks away. Betsy gives her bus to Beth and says “Here is a bus you
can play with”. The teacher walks over and gives Betsy another bus. Betsy tries to
put her doll in the new bus but she doesn’t fit. Betsy stands up and walks over to
the toy shelf and grabs an airplane. She puts her doll in the airplane. Betsy 'flies’
the airplane through the classroom.

Liam and Beth. Betsy puts her playdoh in a cup and holds the cup up to her mouth.
Betsy asks the teacher “When your done with that, can I play with it?”. Betsy
points at the rolling pin that the teacher is using. The teacher gives Betsy the
rolling pin. Betsy rolls out her playdoh. Betsy cuts the play doh with a play doh
knife. Betsy looks at Beth, who is also cutting her play doh but using a different
kind of knife. “When you’re done, can I use that?” Betsy asks Beth. Beth says
“Yes”. Betsy waits and watches Beth until Beth finishes cutting her playdoh and
gives her the knife. “Thank you” says Betsy.

pats sand into a mound and puts sticks in it. “Can I use that shovel?” Betsy asks
Sara. Sara kicks over Betsy’s sand mound. “Now I have sand in my boots.” says
Betsy. Sara bends down, takes Betsy’s boot off and dumps out the sand. Sara pulls
off the other boot and dumps the sand out. Betsy sits down in the sand and shovels
sand into her shirt.

jumps off of the swing. She lands in the sand. Cathy jumps off of her swing and
lands next to Betsy. “I’m going to take your dirty old spot!” says Betsy. Betsy gets
up and walks toward Cathy’s swing, then turns and runs to her own swing.

Ben. “Will you push me?” Betsy asks Ben. “I’m really big because I can pump by
myself,” says Dolly. Betsy says “I’m really big too”. Betsy jumps off of her swing,
lands in the sand, then walks over to a green saucer swing and gets on.

for her brother, Andy. “Where’s Andy?” Betsy yells. “Andy, Andy”. Betsy sees Andy
over by the jungle gym and runs over to him. Betsy climbs up the jungle gym, then
climbs back down. She climbs back up and sits on a bar. Betsy looks at Liam and
Angie, who are playing inside the jungle gym dome. Liam points to a scratch on his
arm. “Sara did this to me,” says Liam. Betsy looks at Angie. “Sara isn’t coming to
your birthday party, is she?” asks Betsy. “No” says Angie.
Other Note: Angie’s birthday isn’t until January but the children have all been
telling each other that they can’t go to their birthday parties when they are mad
at them.

away without answering. Suzy jumps onto the other end of the seesaw. Betsy yells
“Watch out!” as her and Suzy start spinning on the see saw. Betsy and Suzy giggle.
Rachel runs over to them. She touches Betsy and says “Got you”. Betsy smiles. Suzy
says “Go fast!”. Betsy giggles and starts spinning them faster.

Betsy is outside on a bike on the playground. Betsy starts moving the bike by
pushing with her feet on the sidewalk. “I can’t do it” Betsy says to her teacher.
“Yes you can. I’ll give you a push.” answers the teacher. The teacher pushes Betsy
and Betsy starts pedaling. They go a few feet down the sidewalk. The teacher
stops pushing and Betsy goes a few more feet, then stops. Betsy pushes on the
pedals but the bike doesn’t move. Betsy gets off the bike and starts pushing the
bike while she walks. Betsy goes a few more feet down the sidewalk then lets go of
the bike and walks away.

sidewalk. Betsy stops the car and puts her mouth on the steering wheel. She sits
back up and beeps the car’s horn. Betsy looks at Hope, who is looking at a tricycle.
Betsy starts moving the car down the sidewalk again. Andy and Chris are playing a
few feet away in the sandbox. Chris holds a car up like he is going to hit Andy with
it. “Chris please don’t hit Andy.” says the teacher. Chris looks at the teacher and
then puts his hand down. Betsy quickly looks over at Andy when the teacher speaks.
She gets out of her car and walks over to where Andy is playing. She sits next to
Andy and starts shoveling sand.

and bobs her head to the music. Betsy brings the instrument to the high chair
table where Andy is sitting and eating breakfast. Betsy pushes a button to play
music, then holds it up to Andy’s ear and giggles. After the song ends, Betsy walks
around the room pushing more buttons. Betsy sets the instrument on the bench,
then walks over to the book shelf. She picks a book, carries it to the bench, then
sits down and pages through the book.

“I don’t know what to draw,” says Betsy. She picks up a green marker and colors
the center of the filter. She puts the cap back on the marker and puts it back in
the box. Betsy picks up a pink marker and colors around the green area on the
filter. Betsy looks at the other children’s filters. Betsy draws a circle on her filter
and adds eyes, a nose, and a mouth in the circle. The she adds arms and legs. Betsy
puts the pink marker in the marker box and grabs a blue one. Betsy looks at Dolly’s
filter. “What’s that?” Betsy asks. “A rainbow” says Dolly.

children are practicing writing their names by tracing the letters with washable
markers on laminated paper. Betsy puts the cap on her blue marker and pushes the
marker down on the table to get the cap on all the way. “I can’t do it.” says Betsy.
Then she looks at her marker. “Oh I did.” she says surprised to see the cap on.
Betsy sets the marker down on the table. The marker rolls off the table and lands
on the ground. Betsy gets off the bench, bends down and picks up the marker. She
sets the marker on the table. “Now stay on the table.” she says to the marker.
Betsy grabs a diaper wipe from the package on the table. She wipes the marker off
of her paper. “Now I writted off my name.” Betsy says. She squeezes the wipe.
“Now I squeeze the water out.” she says. “All done.” she sets the wipe on the table.

Andy sits on a picnic table bench. Betsy grabs his shoe. Andy moves his foot. “I’m
trying to get your feet off, so sit still” says Betsy. “There we go” she says when
the shoe comes off. Betsy grabs Andy’s other foot. “Now the other one” says
Betsy. She pulls off the shoe. She stands up. “Come on Andy” says Betsy. Betsy
looks at Andy’s feet. “Oh your socks” she says. Betsy sits on the ground and pulls
off Andy’s socks. Betsy puts Andy’s socks inside his shoes and then puts his shoes
on the picnic bench. “Ok, now we can go play.” Betsy tells Andy. Betsy grabs Andy’s
hand and they run to the sandbox.

do that?” Andy gives the shovel to Betsy. Betsy digs a hole. Andy pushes sand back
into the hole she made. “No Andy” says Betsy as she shovels the sand back out.
“Now put your feet in” Betsy tells him. Andy puts his feet in the hole. “Now bury
them” says Betsy. Betsy puts her feet in the hole too. “Now bury them” she says
again. Betsy shovels sand onto their feet. “Put the dirt back in” says Betsy. “Shoes
off” says Andy. “Yeah you got your shoes off” says Betsy. Betsy shovels more sand
onto their feet. She pats the sand. Betsy wiggles her toes “Andy look at my feet”
she says. “Andy look, you can see my foot”. Andy puts more sand on Betsy’s feet.
“Stop” says Betsy.

milk into her bowl. Betsy picks up her bowl and walks back to the table. She sits
down in her chair, then uses her spoon to push her cereal down into the milk. Betsy
takes a bite and kicks her feet under the table. She starts bouncing in her seat
and looks around the classroom at the other children.

knees, growling. Betsy takes off the dress and drops it on the floor. Betsy gets
down on her hands and knees with Andy, Liam, Chris, Ben, and Danny. All of them
make growling noises and crawl towards Chris’s mom. Chris’s mom stands up, puts
her hands in the air and says “I’m a gila monster!”. All of the children crawl closer
to Chris’s mom, still growling. Chris’s mom says “Roar!”, then falls to the floor.

and asks “How many rockets are in this picture?”. Betsy yells “5!”. “How many green
things are there?” the teacher asks. Betsy answers “3” at the same time as 2 other
students. “How many black things?” asks the teacher. Betsy points her finger at
the picture and counts. “7” answers Betsy. The teacher holds up another card and
asks “Is the puppy inside the house or outside?”. “Inside” answers Liam. Betsy sits
up on her knees and leans closer to the teacher. The teacher holds up another
card. “What instrument is the girl playing?” she asks. “Guitar” answers Suzy. Andy
leans toward the teacher. Betsy leans over Andy so that she is closer to the
teacher.

green playdoh together. “No, Katie. You can’t mix it” says Betsy. “Katie, you
shouldn’t mix it”. “I can mix it” says Liam. Betsy looks at Liam, then starts
flattening her blue playdoh with her hand. She pokes holes in it with her finger. “I
have 2 colors” says Katie. Betsy rolls her playdoh into a ball. She brings it up to her
nose and smells it. “This one smells good” says Betsy. Betsy pushes the playdoh on
top of her nose. “I ripped mine” says Liam. Betsy puts her playdoh on the table.
She looks through the shape cutters. She picks up a green bunny shaped one and
brings it up to her nose to sniff. She pushes the shape into her playdoh. Betsy
picks up the bunny shape. She looks at it, the squishes it with the rest of the blue
playdoh and puts it all back into the container.

April says “I want chair”. “Betsy is sitting in that one right now. Can you sit in the
other chair?” asks the teacher. Betsy continues to look at the floor. “I want chair”
cries April. Another teacher enters the room. “It is time to go into our room now
April. You can bring your baby” says the teacher. April follows the teacher into the
other classroom. Betsy and Andy continue to sit in the chair until the door closes.
Then Andy gets up and walks away. Betsy rubs her finger on her chin, then puts it
in her mouth. Betsy stands up and walks over to where Andy is playing.

Rachel. “You can make Liam breakfast and I’ll make Andy breakfast.”

the table “Hello” she says. Andy grabs a cow, sets it next to Betsy’s horse and says
“Hello”. Joey looks at Betsy and Andy. “Animals don’t talk” he says. “The animals on
Charlotte’s Web do” says the teacher “That’s my all time favorite movie ever”.
Joey stacks the animals on top of each other. “There, I stacked them” says Joey.
“Wow” says Betsy.

then the purple one. She turns around and hops back to the green one. Betsy sits
down on her tile. “Look at this Andy” Betsy says as she pokes the tile with her
finger “It’s so cool”. Andy looks at her tile and says “I have a blue one”. “I have a
green one,” says Betsy. Betsy pokes the blue tile and then the purple one.

Betsy start building another tower. Brian tries to knock it over. “Don’t!” yells Betsy.
The tower falls. Betsy and Ann start a new tower. Andy knocks it down again.
“Andy! No!” yells Betsy. “Andy, you should ask if it’s ok before you knock down
someone’s tower” the teacher says. “He asked but I said no and he knocked it down
anyway,” says Betsy. “Andy, why don’t you build your own tower to knock down”
suggests the teacher. Betsy and Ann start another tower.

across the roof. “That animal is too big,” says Betsy. “Should we knock it down?”

puts on 2 more blocks. “Stop!” yells Betsy. Andy tries to put another block on but
Betsy pushes his hand away. Betsy wraps her arms around her tower more. Lily
walks over and tries to put a block on Betsy’s tower. Betsy picks up her tower and
walks away from the circle time rug. She sets her tower down by the toy shelf,
