Steps required for Fabrication of Model:
1. Making of Screw Joints:

• Cut square bit into required sizes.

• Two cut square pieces will make one joint.
• Cut three sides up to a certain length on one of
them.
• Align this pair and drill holes.
• Insert Screw plug in them.
• Pass screw through drilled portion of both.
• Now we have a screw joint which will help in motion
of Heliostats.
2.Making Holes in Plywood:

• Measure distances from centre of plywood.

• Draw two circles using thread.
• Mark positions on them at equal distances along the circumference.
• Use the drilling machine to carefully make holes through the Plywood.

3. Cutting Aluminum Sheet pieces for holding mirrors:

• Cut uniform sized rectangular pieces from aluminium sheet using metal snip.
• Make a through hole at centre point using centre punch and ball peen hammer
• Pass screw through this hole which will in turn go into joints already created.
• Bend the ends of this rectangular piece to hold the mirror.
4. Joining wooden bar to plywood and painting the setup:

• Wooden bar is held upright at centre of plywood.

• Mark position of holes to be drilled both on the bar and plywood using a marker.
• Now drill holes as marked both on the bar and the plywood.
• Fix the bar to the plywood using the L-shaped clamp and screws.
• After this we paint the entire setup.
5. Preparing the Aluminum Can:
• We take a commercial Soft Drink Can and make a hole on top.
• After emptying the Can, we add water to the Can using Injection Syringe.
• Cut one end of a cycle valve.
• Fix this cycle valve ( with narrow end facing up) in the hole.
• Apply M-seal to fix the valve there.
• Now paint the Can with Black Paint.
6. Fixing the Joints and a platform for holding the Can:

• Fix all the joints using bolts and nuts.

• Stick a small wooden plywood piece(as a platform)
on top of the wooden bar using fevicol.
• Fix four buffer stands at four corners using screws
to support the whole setup.

7. Making Electrical Connections and fixing this setup on the can:

• Attach a plastic fan to the motor shaft .
• Connect a LED bulb to the motor.
• Fix a metal rod on the wooden platform using
M-seal.
• Hang the motor setup from the rod.
• The fan blades should be aligned so that vapour
from the nozzle rotates the fan.
