M: Hello folks! and welcome back to ESL.BONELO.COM and its educational series. My name is Mike, and
today we have Ms. Lisboa. Hello Ms. Lisboa!

ML: Hi Mike! Hello Pals! Thanks for inviting me.

M: Ms. Lisboa is a teacher at Imagination Middle School, and she's going to share some rules and
policies she has in her class.

ML: I Sure am!

M: Ms. Lisboa, what are the things your pupils have to bring to your science class?

ML: Well, Every child has to bring his or her own paper and a pencil, and their homework, of course.

M: Pretty much like other classes. Are there any behavioral rules in your class?

ML: Absolutely! My kids know they have to be on time for classes, respect everybody in the school, raise
their hands when they want to talk, listen respectfully when others talk, and learn

M: Sounds like there is so much control in your class!

ML: Oh no!. There are rules, but there are also rewards .They can choose the kind of projects they want
to make, the people they want to work with, the place where they want to sit. They can even wear what
they want!

M: Does the combination of rules and freedom work?

ML: Oh yes, All students pass this class! And we have become a model for other schools.

M: That's awesome! Congratulations Ms. Lisboa.

ML: Oh, Thank you.

M: That's all folks! I'll be back with more on this educational series.

ML: Bye!

You can have a vocabulary game to introduce new words, prior to watching the video.

You can also have students make predictions based on the first screenshot and the vocabulary you
introduced beforehand.

To reduce anxiety, let your pupils know that they will have a number of chances to get the information. 3
repetitions should be enough; the first one should be used for general understanding (just listening),
during the second one students can complete the script (fill in), and the last one could be a good chance
to check answers.

Interviewing partners and reporting to class is an excellent way to practice and apply what was learnt.
