Introduction
This report will represent the apron feeder statues for drive sprocket, pinion and gear drive unit, and
supporting rollers, also it will illustrate the required actions to overcome the current situation.
a- Apron feeder mechanical parts current state:
1- Pinion And Driven Gears:
 The pinion gear and driven gear for the drive unit have a non-uniform wear in the tooth face and face
width with depth around 2.5mm sees photo no.1 and 2.
 There is a misalignment between the drive pinion and gear as following :
1- Pitch misalignment, and this clear in tooth wear pattern in photon no.2 (See Schematic b)
2- Axial misalignment as indicated in photo no.3 (See Schematic a)
3- Yaw misalignment, and this clear in tooth wear pattern in photon no.1 (See Schematic c)

2- Drive and non-drive Sprockets:

 The drive sprocket has a clear sign for wear in the sprocket side (from outside position) and this due
to high contact between chain links and sprocket, where the chain is not centered with the drive
sprocket see photo no.4
 The non-drive sprocket has wear sign in the sprocket side but in the opposite position for the drive
sprocket wear side (from inside position) which indicates that the drive and non-drive sprockets are
not aligned together. see photo no.4

3- Supporting Rollers:
 The chain is not centered on the supporting rollers as appeared in photo no.5.

b- Required Actions For The Apron Feeder:

 Replace the pinion gear.
 Re-align the pinion and drive gear together.
 Re-align the drive and non-drive sprockets.
 Centering the chain with sprockets and supporting rollers.
