Lesson objective for the today’s lesson:

1. Naipaliliwanag kung paano nabuo at lumaganap ang imperyong Islam.

2. Napahahalagahan ang mga ambag sa kabihasnan ng imperyong Islam.
3. Nakapagbubuo ng grapiko sa pagbalangkas ng mga mahahalagang kaalaman sa pag-aaral ng imperyong Islam.

The teacher did his lesson objectives as serve as guiding star in the sense that the development of the lesson was
guided by his/her lesson objectives.

Reflections:
Any lessons learned or insight gained from your observation focused on lesson objectives? Write them down here.
Are lesson objectives truly the guiding star in the development of a lesson? Or are lesson objectives sometimes
forgotten as the lesson develops?
For lesson objectives/learning outcomes to serve as guiding star in lesson development, will it help if they are
SMART?

Learning objectives are set of goals that the learners must cope within a period of time. Based on my
observation, the resource teachers that I observe directed the learning to the students through the use of the objectives.
The objectives must be clear to students. They all must know what they are learning and why they are doing it. They
also need to see the point of the objectives in the bigger picture; that is, how they relate to the last lesson’s learning,
the course they are following and the big overall goal. This means that you can’t simply write the objectives on the
board and hope that the students copy them down. It implies that you have fully explained them in context; the students
have engaged with them and can explain them to any observer. The goals are very SMART and appropriate in each
topics. It made the students more knowledgeable and equipped with the topics. The knowledge, skills and attitudes
are well developed in the set aims and objectives.
Learning objectives truly be considered as a guiding star in developing the lesson. It is said to be excepted
learning outcome of the learners. The objectives and outcomes must be differentiated for the individual student. All
the learners should be able to see where they are and what they need to do to get to the next level. This should link
into subject standards and progression where possible. It is crucial to have high expectations of what can be achieved
and engage the students with that belief. Knowledge and learning can be controlled effectively and efficiently through
following the learning objectives.

Does integrating lesson objectives/intended learning outcomes in the three domains (cognitive, psychomotor,
affective) or at least 2 (cognitive or psychomotor and affective) make lessons more meaningful?

Yes. The three domains are there and aligned to the intended learning outcomes where it has a great help to
me to make the lessons relevant and meaningful. These domains will secure the mind capacity of my student to learn
and establish a good performance. By these three domains, I can easily determine if they learn from the lesson. It
boosts their skills to perform things in the class.

Give one research quotation that states the significance of goals and objectives.
(Don’t forget to state your source)

When you can’t see clear enough about your goal. It’s going to be more difficult to achieve. Have a clear written
goals, and believe in it. You’ll get what you want in life. (Anonymous)

Every program of instruction, course, or training activity begins with a goal. This goal can be broken down into
specific goals, or learning objectives, which are concise statements about what students will be able to do when they
complete instruction. I think that one of the most important things that we have to do at the beginning of a lesson is to
tell the students what are they going to learn, and this should be specific and clear. Something different is that during
the lesson depending of the children necessities, you can add another L O at the previous lesson plan. We have to
make our students understand that this L O are very interesting as the same time as important. We have to state it
emphatically, of course, because if not, students will not be involved in the learning process at all.
Learning objectives are also a way to establish and articulate academic expectations for students so they know
precisely what is expected of them. When learning objectives are clearly communicated to students, the reasoning
goes, students will be more likely to achieve the presented goals. Conversely, when learning objectives are absent or
unclear, students may not know what’s expected of them, which may then lead to confusion, frustration, or other
factors that could impede the learning process.

In one sentence, relate this quote to learning objectives/intended learning outcomes as guiding star in lesson
development.

Well-defined and articulated learning objectives are important because they provide students with a clear purpose to
focus their learning efforts, direct your choice of instructional activities and guide your assessment strategies.

The letter was been issued January 7, 2019 to conduct field study with different selected schools. I was took Ivisan
National High school to visit and conduct my field study where the English department head was assigned me to
Grade 11 students section 1. Mrs. Janel Denosta was my English cooperation teacher who is a teacher III. I observed
from my teacher where she provides real opportunities for learners in terms of application of principle of teaching to
students. First she read aloud the poem after then the students. Every stanza the teacher asked the students to participate
by sharing their ideas regarding the poems. After the students share their ideas, the teacher gives a hint to students to
comprehend the text. She unlock the unfamiliar words by giving the necessary vocabulary meaning and explain it
further. Aside from it, a couple of questions are being raised in specific to the poem. The students are being asked to
respond the questions. This type of approach is very effective because the students will also enhance their delivery of
communication with his or her other classmates aside from their mental skills to explain the poem, the reason why is
that after answering the question, the students are asked to explain on how.

The following day, I was assigned from another English teacher whose name Sir Vncent. He was a grade 9 English
teacher.
By that time, they were checking their assignment, and the process of checking was good. They review each question
one by one and recall their previous discussion. It is very effective, so that the teacher will know if the topic discussed
was retained on the students mind and if the students really understand the subject topic that was discussed. After
checking the assignment, Ma’am Che proceeds to introduce a new topic. As a sort of review, the teacher asked briefly
what they discussed last meeting. And then going to the new topic, the principle of teaching-learning that was
commonly applied was the wise use of resources. Ma’am Che presented a chart of the different kinds and layers of
soil. The wise use of materials really caught the attention of students that made them retain their interest on the topic.

On the 11th day of December I was assigned to section Pisces of Grade 3. Ma’am May Ann is their teacher and the
subject was Filipino. The teaching-learning that was applied is sharing of experiences of the teacher and the students.
They are particularly discussing about Proper and Common Nouns and the students are asked to make their own
constructed sentences out of the given proper and common nouns. The strategy used by the teacher is very effective
because the students will be able to relate their experiences and all the other things that they know in constructing a
sentence.
