Answer:

In a wild and deadly haze of a summer breeze from a very far, far away desert, you’re a small spec-of-
dust-like worm trying to find shelter and enough food to fulfill your needs in a time so cruel, then all of a
sudden a shadow that was somewhat very mall at first grew bigger and bigger as it gets closer to you.
You start to crawl faster, but before you could’ve moved an inch a mighty eagle just swallowed you
whole! Okay, enough of the imagery, at these times, whether you’re a ‘task-tortured’ student or an
underachiever of the society’s standards, there are some cases where such people suffer from
depression – perks of handling life’s greatest obstacles yet. But as for entitling yourself as ‘depressed’
you can’t be so sure of it.

A so called ‘depressed’ is only ‘that depressed’ if it is already diagnosed by a doctor which is also abig
misconception of people nowadays. For them the sadness or emptiness they’re feeling, when they think
that they’re tired or overwhelmed with something they love or enjoy doing is already depression. But
there’s more beyond that, there might be sudden changes in your weight, concentration, problems, and
unexplained aches or pains which are only a few of the given symptoms.

But focusing on our side as students where depression is prevalent, one big factor is social media and
technology itself according to David Rosenberg, a psychiatrist and professor at Wayne State University,
which states that too much use of social media allows us to see posts or rants that shows us the
different lifestyle of other people whom we admire so much we start to compare ourselves from them,
scaling it from one to ten if it’s relatable or not, it’s at twelve! Other stressor are the people who we
usually hang out with, then comes drugs and last things painful is that our parents, counting on us to
surpass them or other people from what they have.
Don’t lose hope yet! There’s still a range of ways to help you to get over depression than to end your life
with about three deeply cut slashes right on the wrist, those large and pebble – like blue and red pills ,
ropes waiting ‘round to hang out with you literally and those headshots with burning red blood shots
dripping on your windowpane. One thing that can help is medication, which is very far from the enemy
of what you’ve thought or what you’re probably thinking. It may take a while to deal with it, but atleast
grab the tiniest hint of hope that’s left. Also may you always remember the guidance of God up above,
let him reach out to you his right hand and hold it with all your might, seek for his guidance, and little by
little he will help you get through. (Requesting you to read Luke 11;9-10, Psalm 55;22, and Psalm 6;6-9
