■ Need to talk to Ms. Butler (or anyone who knows) how to find the

○ Wrote draft email to send to mentor on Monday morning

Reflections/Goals For Next Week/Future:

Overall, this week was not terrible. I was able to finish all my work and was able to conduct a
successful visit with my mentor. I thought I was going to fail completely, but when he asked
me questions I felt like I knew what to say. There were a few I got wrong but I was able to
answer the majority of the questions right, and for that I am happy. I am going to see if I can
research judicial bias for my next research assessment since it was pointed out by my
mentor. My goal for next week is to find more ideas for my Original Work. I would like to do
something big this year, such as writing a fully developed paper. I am working with my
mentor to get his memos.

The next week was not as productive. Due to college applications I was unable to get much
done. However, I plan to make up for this in the next few weeks by reaching out to potential
mentors (within the immigration law field). I also never reached out to my mentor about the
potential memos. I will make sure to do that this week as well as conduct another mentor
meeting. I am still on the search for an Original Work topic. I believe that with the research
assessment I just finished, I was able to make progress with finding new ideas to explore.
However, I am still worried that I will not be able to find the proper research for it.
